I know Goodman improved a lot the past 3/4 games and they also mentionned his long arms and his ability to break up passes...
But did anyone else noticed that they only threw the ball towards Goodman maybe 3 or 4 times and Will Allen was a target all day long..

By the way, we can't cover the TE (that middle of the field route), i'm not sure if it is the linebacker's responsibility, but we have a major problem on defense..Hopefully they fix it before we face an improved Patriots team..

I thought that was strange too. They game planned on challenging Will Allen. I guess they saw something about Allen on game tape they believed they could exploit.

I think one reason might be that Will Allen has the propensity to wine ALOT and pout like a little school girl on the field when he has a bad game. Seattle just didn't realize that they didn't have the personnel to do it.

i thought it was weird too. maybe allen is a little hurt or something. also, what side of the field does hill play on? if it's allen's side, that could factor into it.

Renaldo Hill was getting beaten like a rented mule, he is the biggest weakness in our secondary.
i agree, he lets the deep balls by, the corners are really fast on this team which is good... and he doesnt attack the underneath routes... Safety is a concern in the offseason and hill is in a contract year, he definatly is sent packing

however, in his defense, when he became the starting FS about 3 weeks ago, our pass D has been much improved, i'm inclined to think thats just goodman and jallen stepping up big

I beg to differ they are improved. They just lost their best player in Adalius Thomas for the season. This is their most versatile game changer -- and it only bodes well for the Dolphins.

TE's will always kill us in the 3-4

Is that normal???
So the 3-4 defense is not set up to defend TE's....Tell that to Bill Belichik who was able to shut down Gates week 6..

I think someone is blowing assignments or the scheme needs to be updated.
*Against Denver, we had similar problems with that rookie FB Hillis..I think there is a problem in the coverage

Alot of that had to do with Allen covering their #1 reciever in Engram.

We are going to play a lot of teams with good TE's , KC, OAK and NE, but the problem is all over the defense, we are NOT stopping the run, and I think this is a consecuence of not having experience at 3-4 and lacking good quality depth at NT.

If, we want to have a chance of making the playoffs we NEED to step up on Offense, specially on the OL run blocking the middle which has been pathetic! We know Chad is a game manager, our receiving corps are way better than what we tought but that OL better start to run block or we are going to lose more than 3 of the last 7 and that would not be enough for a playoff spot.

On the positive side, one bright spot has been the incredible play calling of our coaching staff, they know our weak point and neutralize them by using formations like the "Wildcat" and tricky plays, but I bet that once we are where we want to be on run blocking we will se more Smashmouth football and less of those tricky plays.

Passing game Good
Run Blocking BAD
Pass Blocking Good
Receiving Corps Good (Camarillo and Bess are huge surprises!)
Running Backs Good (Williams the explosive one, should be used more!)
Tricky plays and play calling on offense Very Good

Pass Defense Inconsistent
Run Defense BAD
Pass Preasure OK
LB's Coverage Average

Solid Players: Camarillo, Bess, Cobbs, Pennington, Smiley, Holliday, Porter, Bell and Ferguson.

Inconsistent Players: Ginn, Brown, Williams, Fasano, Martin, Satele, Long, Langford, Goodman, Allen, Ayodele, Roth and Carpenter.

Need to play better: Polite/Cramer, Jason Allen, Crowder, Carey, McChesney and Fields.

On their way out: Hill, Soliali, Jones, Ndukwe/Allenman, 60%-70% of the Special teams players.

That depends on the personell a team uses and the ability of the LB or DE to cover a TE as in most cases *I think the TE/FB usually has the upper hand.
