Odd stat of the yearâ€â€nobody missed a field goal against Miami this year: 24 of 24. This includes 3 50+ yarders and 7 between 40-49 yards.

(Note this does not include plays like in the New York Jets game when no FG was attempted due to a botched snap).

That is pretty strange.

You know that's not going to continue.

That is almost as bad as the refs wanting us to lose every game.

I don't think the refs have a vendetta against Miami.

The problem is the penchant for ticky tack fouls is growing, for almost any team in the NFL, so a team that plays aggressively on defense and is less experienced is going to get flagged more. Meaning that a rookie like Travis Daniels hasn't yet learned how to "sell" to the officials that it was not pass interference on a well defended ball.

I think people in Kentucky could have heard me scream at the officials in that Jets game though. Glad Saban did the same :)

It can only be classified as coincidence so many times. Not multiple times in almost every game. 90% of the time we get hosed by BS calls after critical plays in games. Something is definately up with that.

remember that many of those flags are thrown..or are being acted upon, before the play is big... sometimes....

actually

Actually, the stat isn't all that weird. I remember seeing something along those lines last year, where on ESPN or some similar site they had the statistics for FGs made against teams. At least from 2000/2001, Miami has had the worst FG defense, if you can call it that, of any team, every year. For some reason, teams never miss FGs against us. Maybe it's the lack of intimidation that Wanny's nice guy image made on kickers? Who knows? I would have thought with the dirt infield that it would be a bit tougher but I gues not.

How About

How about how many coin Flips did we lose.

we must of started on D 16 out of 17 games.

Your close, we were 3-13 on the coin toss. That's freakin' unbelievable.

We are definitely going to have to address that in the off-season.

tails never fails :goof:

Yeah I started a thread on the field goal thing yesterday. Just freaking weird. The coin toss thing is just not right. Chance alone gives you a 50-50 shot.
