Give your weird football superstitions here.

Besides the obvious choice of apparel, I have an odd one....but it checks out.

I have gone to 8 Miami Dolphins games. On 5 occasions I have sat in the end zone, and on three occasions I have sat in the upper bowl along the sidelines.

All five times I have sat in the endzone, we have won. Oh, and usually going away too. The combined scores of the 5 endzone games I've gone to is 145-50, including blowouts of 30-3, 30-3, and 34-10.

Three times I have sat on the sidelines, and all three they have lost...typically badly. The combined scores have been 20-64 in those 3 games.

Tomorrow...I'm in the endzone.

Other superstitions?

At the beginning of the season, I would put on a Dolphins bandana on my dog (they went 1-6 in this time). After that, I left on his blue dotted bandana hes gotten from the groomer and the team has won everytime he wears this bandana. Needless to say, that bandana is reserved for Dolphins games now.

I've tried out every superstition to the failure point. Sometimes I wear Dolphins gear and we win sometimes we lose. I've tried every angle of the old rally cap including throwing it at the television and screaming in languages that I didn't even realize I knew.

After 27 years of being a fan I've come to realize that nothing that involves me in my living room affects the games outcome.

my only superstition really is wearing the same clothes......cackys....fins polo and my hat....and drinking alot

Oldschool Nat Moore jersey, and always Doritos nacho cheese flavor, peanuts and beer (lots of beer!)

I heard a rumor that for years, Detroit Lions fans had the superstition of not changing their underwear during a winning streak.

It took decades for anybody to notice since they were still changing their underwear on a frequent basis.

I used to take a shot of Tequilla after each Dolphin touchdown. Back in the day there were times I'd have to wake up and tune into sports center to get the final score. I'm 44 now and have been a Dolfan since the Miami vs Dallas Superbowl. I'm now just taking a shot of Cabo Wabo on the opening kickoff, flying my Dolphins flag off the front of the house, and sporting Dolphin gear.

well its a good thing you are sitting in the endzone.:D

How bout this every game iv'e been to they have won (its only been two) but according to seating it has always been behind the dolphins bench 3-15 rows up on the bottom. awsome seats and great pics i got at the minny game this year at row 3.

usually i just wear my chambers jersey and sleep on the couch when we are getting killed.

I always wake up at 7:00 on Sun. morning (for an afternoon game)

play a game of madden with the Phins v. whoever they play that week

ever since I have started doing that...we have gone on that mythical win streak that seems to hit the team a game too late:D

:sidelol:

I stopped going to the games this season (due to financial and other things) but I've noticed now that I am not going..we are winning. This was the same case last year. Only superstition I have really while at home is I wear my hat, and if we are doing well I will wear it the same way, if something goes wrong I'll tilt it or take it off. I also stopped wearing my JT jersey.

Prior to the Chicago game I switched up the shirt I was wearing on Sundays. I went to my old Dolphins' shirt, and needless to say, it's stayed since then. After the Chicago game I switched my wallpaper to a pic from that game, that too remains my wall.

superstitions

No superstitions here. However my brother and I usually get together and split a case of beer while watching the fins. Win or lose by the end of the game a good time was had by all.

These threads are always some of my favorites. I don't really have any strange superstitions of my own, although I used to switch the TV I was watching on if we were losing.
