-refs and umps getting hurt (troy vincent hit that ref HARD in the dolphins game; ronde barber accidently punched an ump; an ump in the broncos game fell down hard and banged his head; terrell suggs bumped with the ref, getting ejected)
-veteran QBs on new york teams making impromptu starts at home against florida teams and winning (testeverde for the jets, holcomb for the bills)
