Quinn and Romeo Crennel both got questions about Quinn's recent comments that he really wanted to play for Cleveland. Crennel said he asked Charlie Weis if the Browns should take Quinn and Weis said "Yes, and trade up for him." That got a good laugh from everybody. Quinn played the comments down, saying that he's happy to play in the NFL and no team is better than any other team

Problematic for the Phins if they want Quinn.

Apparently the Vikings are also considering him:

"Where might Quinn be going? Well, the one team he mentioned was Minnesota. He had interviews with the Vikings Friday and whatever team is in room 118 in this hotel. So if you know which team is in room 118, well, they are interested in Brady Quinn. "
Bad news for the Phins.

Why would this be surprising?

Practially every top prospect will be carefully considered by the teams in position to draft them. It's due diligence. Cleveland will no doubt talk to the college coaches for Joe Thomas, Calvin Johnson, DeMarcus Russell, Alan Branch, and anyone else at that level. And they will probably encourage Cleveland to draft their guys, too. The only reason this make a bit of news is Romeo and Charlie's history together.

It's Due Diligence. Plain and simple. People shouldn't be getting worked up just because teams interview potential prospects.

That would suck...anything other than him being in Miami would suck!!!

Crennell is hanging onto his job by a thread. He doesnt have the time to develop of rookie QB so I dont see him going for Quinn. The franchise might be a different story, but if Crennell makes the decision I dont see him going with the rookie QB.

I cant wait to see who my Phins start iterviewing. So far the only top guy i have known about is Levi Brown.

Your right, but Savage might be getting the team ready for the next coach. If im not mistaken Savage is who runs the show.....

well if they take him..and dont get a premier rb in the FA then Romeo will be looking for a new job next year..so he will take the safe pick and take Peterson and let either Frye, or Anderson start

i think its so he gest numbe 1 money basically.

It's called posturing. That's all that rhetoric about Wies saying this and Crennel saying that....next it'll be Saban saying something....don't get too worked up over anything being said "out loud" right now...

Besides, FA hasn't even begun....if Crennel trades for Leftwich or Schaub or whatever, then that supposed comment is moot...

Lets see how things pan out before we go to jumping off the bridge...

Who is "worked up"??? My comments hardly qualify as "worked up".

Considering it "problematic" and "bad news for the fins" when Minnesota is doing nothing that any team in its position wouldn't ordinarily do is going overboard.
