Signing Welker Long-Term is a key addition this year.He is the MVP in this team and a first down machine. I believe this is the most important thing this season.... When you have a player who is that good you have to keep him. He might not have the exact size you want on a wide reciever but the truth is this guy shows up on Sundays. If i get any Jersy's this Season it will be Wes because the guy can play and shows the passion this team lacks....

I love Wes. He always gives it his all and when we need a big catch he always seems to be there. I wish other guys on the team played with the same kind of intensity. I have Wes and CC on my fantasy team, and I just moved Wes up to the top spot. I also think my next jersey will be a WELKER.

I refuse to get ANY player Jersey, the last 3 players I've got Jerseys for have been traded, cut, or injured within 2 weeks of my getting the Jersey.

Wes is a great player but I dont think his getting an extension right now is vital to the team right now. I believe he will be resigned but I wouldnt expect any announcments to come anytime soon.

Wes Welker must be resigned. If he keeps it up, he might be quite an expensive slot receiver/returner. Well deserved though.

I really hope we take care of Wes quickly. I don't think at this stage even with his stats so far this year Wes will be to expensive to lock up long term. I also think Saban knows teams will be lined up to take him off our hands. I feel good he'll be a fin long term.

I don't think this team lacks passion, I think they started out very over- confident. We have been in every game this year, but we lose the games because we make mistakes. That's not lack of passion, it's lack of concentration and focus. Players like Welker, ZT, JT, Carter and many other players want to win very badly you can see the passion in their interviews.

Welker is a must re-sign. He's about the only good offensive player we have. But his performance highlights what we're underperforming in. This is a guy who's a 3rd WR yet is outperforming 2 Pro Bowl WR's. One of the reasons he's getting all those short passes is because our OL can't give the QB enough time to make his reads on his primary receivers, who are blanketed by CB's and Safeties, who don't have to worry about Ronnie getting past the line of scrimmage. Had our OL been decent throughout the season, I don't think Welker would've gotten so many looks. But it's a good opportunity for Wes but it's not an ideal situation for the entire offense if all we can do is dump it off to Wes for short yards when we need the long completions.

 In that case, I hope you don't get his jersey.....on the other hand, you can buy jerseys from other teams' players that we may want....like maybe some o line players :D

Maybe, I bought an Ovechkin Jersey before the 2004 NHL draft and the Caps got him so perhaps as long as my team doesnt currently have the player its alright.

Yeah, I hope the FO has the foresight to get him locked up this year before he becomes a FA. I would hate to see him leave due to some team being willing to overpay (similar to the Randel-El situation).

We gotta resign Wes...I hope he'll be here for years to come.

His will be my next jersey purchase.

I said from the first time I saw him play that he was a Wayne Chrebet in the making. not just because he's short and white either. What Wes may lack in God given talent he more than makes up for with his determination and heart.
If someone told me we couldn't keep both Welker and Chambers and that I had to choose which one to get cut, Im not sure that I could decide.

I think that Welker will have a place in Miami for as long as he wants to keep doing what he does best. You gotta love Welker!

If we cant resign him we could always go after Gonzo when he decided to go pro.
