I don't want to start another Chambers Suxs post, especially since I don't think he does. I did get tired of seeing him looking for a flag though, when he dropped some catchable balls. Still I don't understood why they were looking his way 3 out of 4 downs. Booker, McMike are out there too, and then there's Welker. IMHO, this guy should be getting more looks. I think he's could be our Wayne Chrebet, if they go to him more. The only guys who catches a ball on our last 4 downs is the guy who we know can R.Brown, but they throw that crap at the line of scrimage. Bad calls & bad looks. I personally want to see more Welker, and less Chambers

I 2nd your "More Welker Less Chambers" talk.....I think if Nick would play Welker more at a receiver we would have a guy who seems to have way better hands than Chambers and a guy who rarely drops the ball.....but Welker would probably have to be used less on kickoffs/punt returns if he became the main receiver. Also, Welker doesn't have the height and jumping ability to go up for passes like Chambers, but Welker seems to be able to find the open spaces and he comes to the ball whereas Chambers usually waits for the ball to come to him.

We'd probably have to move Minor back to being our returner if we made Welker our #2.

welker isn't getting any more time... he has 5 muffed/fumbled punts so far this year... saban has already mentioned his limitations so i wouldn't expect to see him play anymore than already is.

Welker is good as is, and one of our best contributors. We need a receive that is not yet on the team.

Here's an idea, just throw it to whoever is open. I don't care who it is.

Punt returns have nothing to do with passing.

Does Welker have any drops? I dunno this is a serious question.

It seems that he is becoming a very clutch WR for us specifically on 3rd down.

I am not saying he is better then Chambers but he has been more reliable when they throw to him then Chambers.

I am all for doing to Chambers what we were gonna do with Boston.

For one game just to show that Chambers needs to refocus. I would demote him to #3.

#1 Booker
#2 Welker
#3 Chambers

Use Chambers in the slot have him going against the freaking safeties.

I will say this Booker is the most consistant WR on the team. Welker is the most reliable and Chambers just makes you go wow one play then scratch your head on the next.

Muffing punts is different from catchig a pass. The ball is behaving completely differently, not to mention there is the knowledge that guys have a 40+yard running starts to try and kill you. I haven't seen Welker screw up any of the passes he has caught so far, or passing plays he has been involved in. In fact, a few of them have been crucial plays/gains that have not only gotten us the yards and field position we needed but also put a spark back into our offense. I'm not sure he should be out there in PLACE of Chambers, although I finally became fed up with Chris this past game, but I definately think Wleker should be out there for more plays that he is now.

The only thing that is irritating about chambers is that he got all upset when Saban said he was a decent receiver yet that was still a catchable ball in the end of the game and big time receivers make game winning catches...
