The play that went to McMichael over the midde to the 10........Wes Welker was UNCOVERED from snap to whistle. Nobody was within 8 yards of him. Easy TD. Chance to go to OT or win.

The loss hurts. Lots of drops. Linehan didn't call any reverses. But he couldn't help himself on the 2-point conversion try. And he calls two straight fades with the receivers looking into the sun.

Overall, it was an encouraging game. Frerotte played well. His receivers just let him down repeatedly. Namely Chambers. Even the last pass was good. Tough throw and catch. But you could argue for Chambers to catch it.

Defensively, the lapses in coverage continue to hurt us.

We still haven't won a divisional game under Saban.

The loss really hurts. Now we need to fiight tooth and nail for any shot at the Divisional tiitle. Overall it was a good game, the team showed heart.

They did. It was impressive in that they showed heart and showed they could make some plays in the clutch. And the crowd was awesome today. They showed up, stayed put and made noise!!

Emotional loss for the team and the fans. This was the toughest for me personally.

I think welker was open for a gain on the swing pass to RB on 3rd down on the last drive, as well as open on the crossing pattern on the final pass...granted he was short of the endzone on the cross but he was open.

All true Muck, the dropped passes, McMichael's fumble, missed FG...we should have put NE away by half time based on how we kept the pressure on and moved the ball deep into their territory seemingly with ease.

We played another heartbreaker, and the D did let us down (pass coverage) it took 36 secs for NE drive and score the go ahead TD following our TD on a botched snap??

We will get better, the off season will continue to help this team by leaps and bounds...just keep playing hard (learn to play smarter) and this will be a very very good team and franchise in the coming years.

These are hard losses to watch but they will aide in our future success.

Yup we almost beat the Patriots 2nd and 3rd string team.

It was a tough one. I think it was the most solid game the Fins played so far. You cant put this one on Frerotte.

Sorry about the loss fellas...I know the playcalling and drops killed you guys today, but that 1st down fade was pass interference on hobbs--he had both hands on booker's chest while the ball was in the air. Yet another AFC East team gets screwed by a pro-patsy call

Dude, the division is gone. The Pats have the first or second most easy shedule left in the NFL. There is no chance in he** we find a way to go up one game on them down two games already. Second place is the best we can hope for.

on the Welker nonplay, is it just me or does Gus "lock on to" WRs a lot? Frankly, most everyone deserves blame for this choke performance.

Well atleast one thing Phin fans and Bills fans can agree in is that. ;)

I don't know if he locks on a lot. But he will stick with one side of the field at times.

That said, Frerotte and Feeley have both said that in Linehan's offense, many times only one half or one portion of the field is "live", meaning you don't look to the other side.

i saw that too.

Welker doesn't get enough looks in our gameplanning.... he consistently makes plays... he's the ONLY WR to do so continually.

why not involve him more? you would think Gus would go to the people that are reliable....

thanks.

the worst non-call was the huge facemask/roughing the passer call on Frerotte though... that was not called, it became fourth down, and we were driving just inside the 50 on their side of the field.... more points that went away...

Welker was also more open on the CC TD dropped pass to end the game. Welker was visibly upset. I'm not sure if he was upset because CC dropped another pass or because they continue to throw to CC even though he continues to drop more passes than he catches.
