That is about the extent of one of the most boring games I have ever watched.

If I were sparano, I would write the word REGRESSION on the black board or whatever they use in big letters and make each player give me their definition.

Really just a very badly played game on both sides of the ball. Penalties, dropped passes, non-existent defense, etc.

Now we probably have lost smiley, a key element to the o-line, for the year based on how his leg looked like rubber snapping back.

I understand having preached rebuilding. However what I want to see is something to build on. Sure we are winning games and at the end of the day that is all that matters. However you also have to look at the opponents and HOW we won.

I can find no real silver linings in this one except for the play of bess. Ginn was around but dropped a key 1st down pass while we had some momentum. Bess dropped a td but it wasn't a "give-me". The take down of one of their d-lineman on ricky's td run was gut wrenching too. It was clearly a take down so no case can be made that he didn't hold because he did.

If we play a team that has any bit of talent, we get our butts handed to us. I don't know about you but if we back into the playoffs, we are going to get demolished like the jacksonville playoff game....

You can blame the coaches all you want for running a conservative game but I don't buy that. Us not being able to get a first down on a 3 and 2 against a run defense that is about a porous as a cheese grader and also not being able to get ANY kind of pressure on bulger is unacceptable in my book.

Again this team has regressed in the past few weeks even while we were on our whopping 4 game win streak against the cupcakes of the nfl.

Sorry but it seems on this forum that many wear these rose colored homer glasses and heaven forbid you point out the obvious. I love this team and have for over 25 years. However just as I can point out the good, I do the bad as well.

Right now we are playing horrible and have been since the denver game. That to me is regression considering the run game has been all but non existent and the defense is pretty bad as well. A stark contrast to how the team was playing earlier in the year.

Now I can also acknowledge the fact that if we lost the rest of the games that this is a triumph over last season. We are on the right path, however one cannot site aside and discard the fact that we are still in a playoff race and refuse to acknowledge that we are playing horribly and have been for quite some time. Just because all games are not give me's, doesn't give us immunity against how we play genuinely bad teams.

This is one reason why I lurked for a long time on this forum before actually posting. It seems that everyone thinks miami is superbowl bound on here and when you have a team that is rebuilding and you lose a game, the sky falls on this forum. Then if you don't point out the fact that we won the game and have a hippie pow wow fest about it, then your a bad fan.

Give me a break. I guess some people love getting their hopes dashed each year because they have such thick homer glasses on that they can't see that a team is rebuilding and discuss the good AND bad without hurting their feelings.

Finally someone who knows what they are talking about. We make the playoffs, wow. From last season to 7 wins is a miracle already. Just don't see why people think this season is awful AFTER we beat a team on the road. How many times have we won on the road the last 3 years? Yep, 3 road wins in a season is pretty decent.

boy can you bet BP is going to get 3 NEW Lbers on thsi team ASAP. a ILB, 2 OLB. and i expect another NT that can do something past just taking up 2 players. Fergie gest zero penetration and considering how bad our pass rush is that doesnt help us much either b/c AT LEAST if he can penetrate that would break the pocket.
