Well Cowher's out of the HC Candidate Picture

that doesnt mean squat what happened with junior seau. just cause he is retiring doesnt mean he is gone aLL wayne has to do is fLash his checkbook and they wiLL aLL Listen

Isn't there a way we could get him without having to give up a draft pick. I hate it to see that this team gives up its picks. For one season, PLEASE, lets have all 7 rounds.

Cowher will be available in 3 years when his last kid goes to college. He is spent right now but he will return.

He's out period because we are not going to give up draft picks, especially for him. He's worth the 1st pick overall.

If he actually retires (I haven't seen a report yet with him stating retirement) he's probably gone for at least one year. If he resigns (there is a difference), we would still have a shot. Of course, we would have to compensate Pittsburgh.

We don't want Cowher, trust me. The guy has been inconsistent his whole career. He's good one year and bad the following year. Besides, his hunger and desire for a superbowl may be less now that he's accomplished that goal with the Steelers.

We need a coach that can help build a dynasty, not a one year wonder.

SAY NO TO COWHER!

I really don't want to give up more picks for a coach. We're already short on picks due to the Culpepper and Harrington trades. I also don't believe Cowher is ready to take on a major rebuilding job. I think he will be out of coaching for a few years, and then take a look at any job close to his home in North Carolina...maybe the Panthers if John Fox becomes a hot prospect somewhere else.

that is actually good news if he wants another job now, it gives pittsburg less leverage if he wants the phins job, so lower draft pick for compensation

Cowher has earned a break. He seems like an interesting enough guy -- hopefully, he gets a nice TV job for a couple of years. I think he will be back, though. I wouldn't be totally shocked to see him back with the Steelers if his replacement tanks.

Speaking of his replacement, I think that's the biggest issue for the Dolphins. I see them interviewing Capers, and I wouldn't be shocked to see them pick him out. He just seems to fit if you ask me.
