well guys it looks like we are leading the luck sweepstakes as of now

I want to go back in time and draft Aaron Rodgers instead of Ronnie Brown. Is that possible? How could player evaluation professionals be so wrong? Wow. Today was a perfect microcosm of one of the worst draft blunders ever.

Ronnie Brown gets a goal line carry for the Eagles, gets stuffed, and for some reason, decides to throw the ball. It's ruled a fumble, recovered by SF. Eventually, the Eagles lose by 1.

In Green Bay, Aaron Rodgers accounts for 6 touchdowns and the Packers score 49 points. His long TD pass to Jordy Nelson was an absolute thing of beauty. A complete laser in the air for over 50 yards, hitting Nelson perfectly in stride. When was the last time a QB wearing a Dolphins uniform did something like that?

We're not leading for Luck just so you know. There are 4 winless teams of those 4 we would pick 3rd. Just a quick look and I would say it's St. Louis with the 1st pick (they won't be taking a QB but could trade down and get some receivers and help on the defense), Indy would be picking 2nd and we would be picking 3rd.

St. Louis is the wild card because they could trade the pick to a team that wants Luck and if that happens Barkley could end up in Indy leaving us screwed out of the two best QBs in the draft.

My understanding is that Luck is a redshirt Jr and he graduates this year. If so, why would he return for his Sr year? He is in his academic Sr yr NOW. The Phins are actually the best situation for him talent-wise so long as a good coaching staff is put in place.

I agree with the premise and it might seem that way for the next 3 weeks when the Rams play the Packers, Saints, and Cowboys. But after that, it gets much easier for them when they get the Cardinals, Browns, Seahawks, Cardinals again, 49ers, Seahawks again, and the Bengals. That's about 8 games in a row on that tail end where they'll have a shot to win many games.

I'm guessing the Vikes will be playing their rookie QB sometime soon, and I think we are worse than they are. Our competition at this point, IMO, is still the Chiefs(despite winning today) and the Colts. The strength of schedule in our division will kill us on any tiebreakers, but I think we likely get swept by the Pats, swept by the Jets, and maybe split with Buffalo.

We'll beat the chiefs 6-3. There will be a total of 2 fistpumps for us. A total of 9 turnovers. Just two teams trying to lose. Carpenter actually accidentally makes an improbable 59 yarder to win it in the end.

If the season ended with the standings the way they are right now, the Dolphins would have the #4 pick. What is hurting Miami is that they have a much tougher SOS than some of these other teams. To land the first pick, they would need to win it outright.

We'll find a way to screw this up. What if he stays at Standford?

To do what? Take ballroom dancing classes? He's not Matt Leinhart. From everyting I've read he's a competitor. I never thought Leinhart was after he decided to stay an extra yr in college to party.

this reminds me of the south park episode where everyone is trying to lose so they don't have to lose there summer in the playoffs. Their team couldn't lose as good as all the other teams.

The take away: We need a quality trash talking dad, screw bat dad.

its so sad, that this once proud franchise, a franchise which never had losing seasons basically, was a lock for the playoffs most years and superbowl contender, exciting to watch, etc, has now fallen this far.

its so sad how after week 4, we are now stuck talking about our coaches job security, who should replace him, who we should draft him, things that are supposed to be discussed during the long off season, as opposed to being able to open up many threads about this past weeks game, what we did/ didn't do, looking forward to next week, etc. its sad, and i cant blame anybody for it but our fins for causing this.

with the way this season is spiraling out of control, and in the utmost boring way it is, ( heck if we are going to lose, can we lose exciting games at least) we deserve a consolation prize, and what better prize would their be than Andrew Luck.

We need to actually finish with the worst record in the league for a chance at Luck. Because the Dolphins have a more difficult schedule than KC, Minnesota, the Colts and Rams.. So Miami cannot tie with them record-wise as the team with the easier schedule wins a tie-breaker.

We better hope for 0-16

Imagine if we go 2-14 and we're tied for the worst record in the league with Minny or the Colts. And because of a silly tie-breaker rule, we miss out on having Luck for the next 15 years. I think that would be the biggest heartbreaker of any game or any season in our history. That would hurt for many years while Luck leads teams to super bowls and we're watching what we could have had over a rule (when he was in the palm of our hands).

EVERY Loss counts !! We MUST keep losing and losing and losing.

I never thought I'd see fans wanting to go 0-16 for any reason, especially for a reason that's so far very from being guaranteed.
