The era of mediocre Dolphins teams is finally over.
We are definitely a **** team now.
In terms of achieving change this is a positive step.

Does nobody else see it this way?

No more delusion. No more "we're one player away". No more "this is x player's prove-it year".

And the fans can stop pretending that this coach or that draft pick is going to be a culture changer.

We're a very bad team. We got rid of most of our good players and we invested heavily in a QB who isn't cutting it. We drafted badly but our FA pickups/trades have been abysmal.

So now we can expect to see some change. The Fins just turned 50 and Ross just spent a fortune on a stadium. There is NO WAY the owner can sit by and let things continue to fester.

If there was ever a moment of clarity in the recent history of this team, this is it.

From here on, we should stop making timid and/or deluded decisions and start making bold ones.

Some of you don't believe the owner is capable of this. I'm not so sure. There's been plenty of churn in the FO since he got here, just the wrong churn.

I'd rather we sucks and get a couple of good drafts under our belts than keep pretending we are anything other than a boring, underwhelming, poorly constructed team, which occasionally flatters enough to deceive.

We're not that. We're properly terrible and I see that as a weird sort of progress.

excited for change. hopefully Tannenbum is the first to go.
as long as he's around... I won't be. I've seen enough.
I value my weekends too much to spend another minute on this team.

lol...I agree with you but...what do you think Tannenbaum is telling Ross? Still one player away? Still this is x player's prove it year? Has he already gone into self preservation mode? Blaming the coaches (a guy he probably told Ross would be a good hire...don't they share an agent or something)? Saying the talent is here they're just not being coached properly?

We all know the owner is a sucker. He kept Ireland around after Ireland told him over and over and over that he could turn the team around, he just needed more time.

I admire Ross' patience but in the NFL patience is not always fruitful and after owning a team for nearly a decade he still hasn't figured it out. Half measures and no plan has been his trademark as Dolphins owner.

Yep....no longer bitching about 7-9 records....but...I have a feeling we are fixing to experience about three years in a row of 2-14 seasons.
We are really bad...

Could be longer than that. I said after last season when Tannenbaum was announced as VP of Football Operations we may be looking at a decade of futility...something Cleveland fans know pretty well. It could be shortened the faster Tannenbaum is relieved but for every year he's here...another 3 will be needed to rebuild. It's not just the players he picks and free agents he signs...talent wise they're usually bad. It's the terrible contracts he signs that cripple a team and make it nearly impossible to dig out in 2 or 3 years. Look what he did with Suh's contract...look at the contract we just took over with Maxwell...the 1 year deal we gave Mario Williams (and no one can tell me he didn't think Mario was a better option than keeping Vernon...I think franchising Vernon and then shopping him for picks would have been a better option than getting a 3rd round comp pick).

And in typical Dolphins fashion, they'll beat the Steelers next week to muddy the situation even more....

At this point, the only way we can go is up!!!!

We don't have a team to beat Alabama right now. The steelers will humiliate the Dolphins

That's not true. We can most definitely stay at the bottom...like the Browns have for so many years.

That might be the most unlikely scenario possible in the history of the universe. Hyperbole? I think not.

Exactly. We'll be dredging the depths for quite some time if drastic measures are not taken.

Unless Ross sells, nothing is going to change. Let's be honest.

remember the fly by with "fire ireland".....we need one that'll say "ross please sell the team"

Ozzy rules!!

We will somehow blow the great draft position we get - we'll take another Ronnie Brown or Jake Long instead of the player that we should - and that player will go on to transform someone else's franchise.

I just don't see how we can get rid of Tannenbaum so quickly. Ross seems to love the guy
