Does nobody else see it this way?
No more delusion. No more "we're one player away". No more "this is x player's prove-it year".
And the fans can stop pretending that this coach or that draft pick is going to be a culture changer.
We're a very bad team. We got rid of most of our good players and we invested heavily in a QB who isn't cutting it. We drafted badly but our FA pickups/trades have been abysmal.
So now we can expect to see some change. The Fins just turned 50 and Ross just spent a fortune on a stadium. There is NO WAY the owner can sit by and let things continue to fester.
If there was ever a moment of clarity in the recent history of this team, this is it.
From here on, we should stop making timid and/or deluded decisions and start making bold ones.
Some of you don't believe the owner is capable of this. I'm not so sure. There's been plenty of churn in the FO since he got here, just the wrong churn.
I'd rather we sucks and get a couple of good drafts under our belts than keep pretending we are anything other than a boring, underwhelming, poorly constructed team, which occasionally flatters enough to deceive.
We're not that. We're properly terrible and I see that as a weird sort of progress.
