Well, it seems now the #1 pick is up for auction.

You guys kill me.........he's basically doing the same stuff as Saban....but Saban is a genius and Nolan is an idiot. Classic.

You are so right, people here cannot see that this is all a game to get the best deal possible, Saban is doing the exact thing. The Dolphins have been reported to want to draft about 5 different players and to trade. Hmm, sounds like what SF is doing.

Saban hasnt been venting any smokescreens IMO. Hes just sitting pretty at the #2.

Nolan is the one who is pulling out all the stops.

The number 2 pick is cheaper than the number one pick....and the 49ers can only take one player....so somebody is going to be happoy and trade with the Dolphins....no matter who the 49ers select.

And Clevelands pick is even cheaper. Not to mention that they are not really interested in any of the top 5 players. They want to stock up and bolster their defense, that is why they will be the team that trades down.

Nolan is on the clock now, so he must try and get a deal to move out of the number one spot, Miami can not do anything until SF is off the clock. IF San Fran trades the spot to Minny or picks Edwards, then Tampa bay would be our trading partner. If SF trades the spot to Tampa bay or takes Smith, then the Vikes would be our trading partner. Best case senario SF Picks roger then we should have 2 trading partners and would be able to play one off the other.

nolan looks a bit daft because he narrowed his options down and now is chopping and changing his mind. He has tried to regain control of the draft, and, fair play to him, has done a pretty good job of it, but they are going to take a QB.

Saban has said nothing, he hasn't put up smoke screens, he's just let them form around him.

Yes, Cleveland's pick is cheaper...but one player will be missing when they get their turn....so Miami gets their trade out, in any event. Either Tampa, Vikes or perhaps a new trader will jump up to the Dolphins...if they want the best player in this draft...Edwards....or the Dolphins will select him...and still feel good. The Dolphins have NOTHING to lose.
