Starting defense didn't play well, the starting offense was moving the ball but couldn't finish drives. Moore was leading the Dolphins but it sucks for him and the offense that his ball got tipped at the line and picked off.
I am not worried about the front 7 of the defense even though they struggled tonight. They have been a force in recent years and one preseason game with no game planning is not enough for me to change my mind. Those 7 will be fine.
Reggie had a nice run and showed he is still the same back as last year. Richard Marshall appears to be a very good pickup and finishes tackles, something Sean Smith continues to struggle with.
Yeah they lost 20-7, but preseason scores mean absolutley nothing. They still have work to do, but that is what the preseason is for. My biggest concerns is the injury status of guys like Kevin Burnett, Tony McDaniel and Nate Garner.
Oh, almost forgot, Tannehill was AWESOME tonight. With Garrard out 2-4 weeks, I think Tannehill is inching closer to becoming the starting quarterback. Based on his performance tonight, I think he deserves to start next week in Carolina. Especially if Philbin truly wants to name his starter after the 2nd preseason game. If Tannehill plays next week like he did tonight, he will win the job.
