For all the Losman fans out there that keeping running around saying that he is the clear #3 QB in the draft, let's look at two side by side shall we?

Rivers has gotten better EVERY year he's played at NC state. He broke the school rushing record with 10 Rushing TD's by a QB with 10, is second in the HISTORY of the NFL with 13,484 passing yards. He is a big mobile QB at 6'5" 236 lbs, is comfortable rolling out, can throw on the run, and can thread the needle. He threw 7 INT's to FORTY TD'S. And remeber his last season was spent with crap for a running game, and a totally inept defense. He is a mature guy, married to his high school sweet heart with a daughter, and one more child on the way. A true leader. The questions coming into this senior bowl were about his unorthadox mechanics, and his arm.

Losman...wait a minute..why should .........hmmm........

Now......YOU stack Losman side by side with Rivers. The #3 spot is NOT Losman's to win, it's Rivers to lose. Rivers is an astonishingly good QB. To say that he is not the #3 QB in this draft is an insult to him, and the game of FB. THOSE numbers up there tell the truth. Put that side by side with DAN FRICKIN MARINO saying how impressed he was with his accuracy AND his arm, and you'll see who the real winner is. Losman may have an arm, but so did Leaf. Remember him? Ryan leaf= great athlete, strong arm NFL BUST. Payton Manning- Not as strong of an arm, but great leader, accurate, and great reader= NFL prodigy.

Disagree if you want, just don't go runnin around spouting "Losman is the CLEAR #3 in the draft" because no matter HOW you twist the number, their situations, he is NOT a clear #3. Nor should he be in anybodys mind. You may think he COULD be the #3, but there's nothing clear about it, unless of course your hitting the Everclear that hard...which is about the only way I can see people thinking Losman is better than rivers.

Also, he will NOT be there in the 2nd round. Sorry guys, mark my words, after the first round he's gone. And with him the chances of us getting our franchise QB.

I love Rivers play in college. But, much will depend on whether the scouts think he can make all the NFL throws.

And, Losman played on a much worse offense with a lousy OL. He is at least more used to intense pressure from the DL than Rivers is.

So, stats are sometimes deceptive - even though, I agree, that Rivers is an awesome looking talent and I like him a lot.

All this debate is why, as in every draft, it's really a "crap shoot." It's virtually impossible to predict with real clarity what a guy will do at the next level (see Ryan Leaf, Rick Mirer, Richard Todd, etc.).
