On ESPN outside the lines they were discussing who should be MVP,drew or LT.

Well the 2nd dude is for some reason brough this up and said miami had a choice Daunte and brees but they were more scarred of brees injury and that may go down as one of the NFL worst blunders in current NFL history and we might be talking miami into the superbowl right now.

I think he said something like that.

But listen we havent seen the finished daunte with knee problem out the way, remember people what daunte can do , also next year when he starts bombing the passes and making play, y'll are gonna say brees cant do that, also we having ricky williams back so its gona be a deadly offense if daunte is back psysically. I still have faith in daunte, also if we want to see the power of daunte's game is the vertical game so no doubt mularkey needs to get out of here.

Also i don't know who i heard it from but he said brees shoulder might give him problems in the future, and it's a proven fact shoulder injuries always come to hunt you back after a period of time alot of times, so y'll remember brees couldnt throw a football for 4 months if im not mistaken and he's giving that arm a ride.
I dont know but it might give him problems in the summer or taken a shot in that shoulder might do it but i do agree with the fins ill take the knee instead of a injured qb shoulder,so we shouldnt make a debate yet if saban did a bad deal or not until daunte plays next year and brees plays next year and shows no arm problems.

1. It's a bad choice. Knees will most likely never be the same. Brees is an MVP candidate, and didn't display a huge drop-off in production prior to his injury the way Knees did. Brees or Knees? Not hard to see we ****ed up.
2. This subject has been beaten to death, and it's a rather painful and frustrating one for me and many other Dolphins fans. Can we stop creating new threads about it every day?

soo....one QB is going to the playoffs and the probowl. the other isn't even on the field, and has looked like **** the past 2 years when he has been on the field.

one was a FA, while the other required trading a 2nd round pick.

it's time for everyone to take their medicine...

C-Pep is Saban's Fiedler, meaning, he will be forever judged on what this man does(or doesn't do) in a Dolphin uniform

Shula sold this organization's soul to the devil for the undefeated season and Marino.

Which is why it might be wise to scrap the Culpepper experiment, and move on now, before Culpepper can make it even worse, which-with our luck- will almost certainly happen. As I've said numerous times, we need to DRAFT a franchise QB and take our chances. Of course, this will never happen for a few reasons, but I wish to God it would.

like you said, with our luck, we'll draft a franchise QB that will bust.

Before we call it over, lets give Culpepper the benefit of having the off season to totally recover. I remember people on this board saying that the injury could take up to 18 months to totally heal. If Culpepper cannot make it back to a reliable form during the off season workouts and mini camps, he will probably be sent packing. I am hopeful that he once more becomes a force to contend with.

my Eternally Optomistic Finbro...unless Drew gets hit on the skull with 'blue ice', struck by ball lightning or (heaven forbid) breaks a nail...a year from now he'll still be that much better than Dante Dullpepper...[by the way, I'm sending over two friends of mine...their names are Cosmo & Wanda...they grant wishes...enjoy!]

I am willing to bet anyone here any amount of money that Saban plays the QB that gives us the best chance to win next year. Saban learned from this mistake and will not allow fanbase nor media to convince him who should play.

We all wanted Daunte to play... we all bought into the idea that Daunte made a "miraculous" recovery. If anything I feel mislead by Daunte but I can't fault him for being a competitor.

Saban will not allow poor qb play to ruin our next season.

However, I feel that we had a very poor start due to many other problems which are being patched. Such as injuries to the oline, secondary, and a somewhat banged up recievers core. Isn't it kind of weird that we're playing our best ball when we have the most consistency??

Because of those injuries we have depth at the secondary and Oline. When those replacements stepped in, they weren't the best of players. But now that they have experience starting, we can insert player A where B would go and we'd be good2go.

you're right, let's not call it a bad choice..... let's call it something more approrpriate, like a freaking
CALAMITY!!!!
Nice, i just spit soda all over my keyboard...... :sidelol:

Wanny and Saban may both go down with the decision of not taking Brees....time will tell

Couldn't have said it better myself. (Actually, I could have, your grammar is terrible, but I'm with you 100%.)

1. What if Culpepper is an MVP candidate next year? What then?

2. The best way for a thread to go away is if nobody clicks on it or posts on it.

You're right. Let's not wait and see what happens over the next few years. Let's make a determination right now.

Never mind the fact that Culpepper has been injured the last 2 years.
Never mind that Brees has never won a playoff game.
Never mind that anything could happen in the future.
