I actually doubt it changes much at all this week.

The one dissapointment is that Murphy is not good enough to be active over Gardner.

Gardner provides a little more positional flexibility I believe.

Wish Turner could get his act together, but he's not much help on ST either so I can see why he'd be inactive, even if he has some upside in the red zone.

Cam Wake being inactive I don't really get...I know Moses was beasting in preseason but I thought Wake was at least doing well on ST.

I agree too.. wake shouldnt be inactive. I would like to see him get some real playing time.

Yes I thought that Murphy being inactive was very strange seeing he ws part of the starting rotation during the preseason. Was Nate Gardner inactive also I do not remember?
If it was just Gardner and Berger active then that is 1 backup for each position for the interior OL and OT positions which could make sense if Nate Gardner was inactive also.
If Nate G was active also perhaps Murphy has some sort of injury they are telling about.
The inactive squad last week was compromised basically of players with NO real NFL experience. Cameron Wake being on it was a surprise but when I took him, Murphy and Lionel Dotson into consideration with all the other players being rookies I thought that for the first game of the year, being on the road against a very tough team they were giving the nod of experience over talent.

Wake especially since they gve him all that money.. I want to see him on the field! Turner I've said often is a big disappointment. But then he wasn't lights out in college so I guess we shouldn't expect much. His height would come in hand on goal line situations.

I dont see a problem with Wake being inactive. The players ahead of him all seem to have produced more in preseason and he has to outplay Anderson, because Moses is much better against the run than him.

I do.. Because against Peyton Manning you better have a serious pass rush to disrupt his timing and rhythm. I think Wake will be active. I wouldn't mind having Porter, Taylor and Wake on the field at the same time, like Pasqualoni had all 3 on the field at the same time during camp for exotic blitz packages.

And Wake has had a dominating week in practice. Sparano was gushing on how well he has played in practice this week in his presser today. He is very impressed with Wake.. He even compared one of Wake's attributes to Demarcus Ware today.

Against the Falcons, we needed the run stoppers.. Against the Colts, the Pass rushers are more important. I am not scared of their running game, and you shouldn't be either. I think our D-linemen are strong enough against their finesse O-line at the point of attack. And with our run stopping safeties, and middle LB's, we will stop the run just fine without Q Moses.

Atlanta had more of a big road grading O-line. The Colts have a smaller finesse O-line for their zone blocking schemes.

We shall see. I dont see Wake as more than an average player at best but I would like to be wrong and him tear it up. If he is not active this week afterthe gushing u described than what is up

Murphy cant play Tackle, and Berger can back up the guard and center spots. thats why Murphy was inactive.

Murphy played tackle in college but I dont agree that is a sure thing in the pros. Our oline depth to put it bluntly sucks. Berger, Gardner and Murphy together dont seem like an NFL player

lol. its better then last years depth at least. i like gardner, i think he can progress into a very good backup. he was underrated at GT imo.

I dont think our line depth is any better, basically the same at best.
We dont have one good player as a backup although Murphy and Gardner may develop.

I think Wake will be active as well, but who would he replace? Torber? Not too sure there.

I think we need the extra pass rusher to at least give the Colts OL to have to think about. Either way, Colts will be passing the ball at least 40 times.

The line depth is a serious issue to me, it would be nice to have at least 1 NFL tested guy ready to step in.
