For me the visual of Tannehill with his jersey stained green and blood all over his elbow is the visual that'll come to mind when someone mentions the 2015 Dolphins.
For me its the last offensive play of the Giants game where Landry was open and Tannehill had no defenders within 15 yards in front of him and he air mails a ball. I'll never forget the way that field looked.

Because Brady was injured. Simple as that. Plus Pennington threw 4 INTs vs Baltimore in the playoffs thus solidifying him as Dolphins players doing Dolphins things.
Tannehill could have made the playoffs twice with a healthy Brady. Difference between him and Pennington was that one guy stepped it up with the season and game on the line. Tannehill folds.
Pennington sucked in that Ravens game but they were also the absolute perfect matchup against us that year and thats why they also crushed us in regular season. We have had twice the talent on Tannehill's teams after his rookie year that Pennington had on that, and you could clearly see that team made it as far as it could. Under Tannehill the team showed it had talent to beat some of the best in the league, it has just been horrible inconsistency, horrible clutch play, and inability of key players like the QB to elevate with a season on the line. Tannehill would have been at best 9-7 in 2008 while Pennington would have easily been 11-5 on the same teams Tannehill went 9-7 and 8-8 with.
I like Pennington but recall that without the Wildcat the Dolphins offense was bad in 2008. Coupled with a ridiculously easy schedule and no Tom Brady it wasn't a surprise when the Ravens blew them out.
You're sadly mistaken if you think Pennington could have gotten any of these last 4 teams to the playoffs. His arm was shot.
