working around the house with the NFL insiders as background noise...then I was reminded of this little nugget. The Miami Dolphins are the last team to lose the super bowl, then return the next year and win it. Yep, and went undefeated in the process.

BTW..they are going to talk about Tanny in the next segment.

I was 9 years old when that happened. It's been awhile.......but I'll take it.

Older Dolphins fans always tell me how good this franchise used to be and how they would go to championship games. I've only seen them make the playoffs once. Is it too much to ask to make it there again?

I remember those days, you young whipper-snapper. We used to walk 12 miles in the snow to the only television in town to watch the games, but at least we made the playoffs every year. If fact, Miami being in the playoffs was so common, many of us considered it a disappointment if we didn't get past the 2nd round. Now get off my lawn.

You forgot, that 12 mile walk was uphill both ways......

This is so true, a disappointment in those times was not missing the playoffs (That very rarely happened), it was missing out on at least getting close to the AFC Championship game...the good old days.
