5 turnovers and a record high 18 penalties!

we need to become more disciplined and we should have kept Ed Perry as our long snapper. we still outgained the Bills through both the air and the ground so we clearly were the better team but because of mistakes we lost.

Did anyone else think this game was poorly called by the refs? I agree with Saban the refs had no consistantancy with their calls. That penalty on McMichael was total BS.

thoughts?

you've got to be kidding us all, right?... because a team outgains another, it is "clearly better?"... you base a football team's strength based on yardage? cool

good luck with that...

 we outgained the Bills and in the second half when the penalties were less often we outplayed the Bills, that was my observation basically

But you have to admit we helped Buffalo out alot...to many mistakes to overcome..to many STUPID penalties on our part. That's no excuss that's the truth. The Bills got the Win nothing to be ashamed of but we should be.:fire:

The better team overcomes it's problems, mistakes, and mental errors and finds a way to win.

No, a good team doesn't make those kind of mistakes to begin with. Last week I said that the better disciplined team would win this game, and they did. The Bills were far more disciplined than the Dolphins.

It's funny, I initially felt that the Fins were definitely the better team yesterday, but then I really started thinking about it, and it's not true. The Fins are not, nor will they be a good team until they elliminate mistakes. If you believe otherwise, you are fooling yourself. It isn't enough to physically outplay your opponents, you must outplay them mentally as well.

This team's mental development hasn't improved at all, in fact, it is getting worse as they go. I expect several more meltdowns and winnable games lost unless a miracle happens. I haven't seen anything in the last few years that would give me any hope of a miracle.

just a note... their punter is amazing, he was their MVP, we were never able to have good field position with this guy kicking BOMBS... their special teams play was great on coverage too and that last kickoff return by mcgee which setup their last field goal really made a huge difference...

we might have outgained them, but they were more disciplined, played better special teams, and made plays when they had too... good game by the bills...

Wil any team be able to "beat" you this year or will all your losses be b/c you "beat yourselves"?

Was it really necessary to bump this thread even though it hadn't been posted in since yesterday at 11 in the morning?

Oh, it's a Jets homer. Yeah I guess it is necessary. Carry on.

Add this L to the growth and development of this unit. Hopefully it will put a fire in there bellies. They clearly know that they're a better team then they showed on Sunday.

Well if you objectively look at our two losses this year, you'll see that we did beat ourselves. Especially this last game where we have a record penalties & 5 turnovers, what else would you call it? It sure as heck wasn't because of the Jills domination.

Not always Justa... but sometimes like last year when we beat NE. Sunday we cost ourselves the game. We had the momentum at the end when Ronnie fumbled (I do think it was a fumble) and probably would have scored. It tough to overcome 18 penalties and 4 turnovers and we were almost there. The 5th turnover was the knockout punch!

I didn't see Sunday's game but know the better team won our matchup. We were in control all game long and we lost a TD by a bad call so the score was closer than the game. On Sunday yuo were down 17-0, it's hard to blame everything on yourslves. What about the guys on the other side forcing you into mistakes? We were getting screwwed by the officials all game, they were directly responsible for at least half od the Bucs points but we managed to win in spite of them b/c we were the better team and if you were the better team in either of yuor 2 L's you would have won too.

If you didn;t see the game then be quiet.... on their first possesion they had more first downs by penalities than on their own.
