ORLANDO, Fla. – If the NFL is drastically changing after the Miami Dolphins' locker room scandal and the ensuing Ted Wells Report, it was hard to tell from what many of the AFC head coaches said at a press availability Tuesday morning.

A canvassing of several coaches assembled at the Ritz Carlton for league meetings revealed few have read the report, which detailed a systemic breakdown of locker room culture in Miami.
"I didn't," Pittsburgh Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said.
"I did not," New York Jets coach Rex Ryan said.
"No," said Buffalo Bills coach Doug Marrone.

"I'd be fibbing if I said I read the whole thing," Tennessee Titans coach Ken Whisenhunt said.

"No," said Raiders coach Dennis Allen.
"There are other things higher on my priority list," new Cleveland Browns coach Mike Pettine said.
"No," said San Diego Chargers coach Mike McCoy.

You need not read it, unless you have a Jon Jon Martin on your team.

Well that brings 3 things to mind.

1. They know what it is ... a liability limiter for the NFL. Nothing changed. Status quo.
2. They don't want to be cornered into a long discussion or held to those standards. By not knowing it's content they have an easy out by simply saying "I did not read the report."
3. They don't care. These coaches know what goes on in a locker room, and that includes Philbin. They understand that these are all superstar divas who have been surrounded by yes men and given carte blanche their entire careers to help their teams, schools, and friends. When you collect 50+ of these guys it is extremely unlikely that all of these very young men will always adhere strictly to the rules. And, the margin of error in the NFL is razor thin. Coaches can preach all they like, and hope they get good character guys, but the reality is that talent trumps character except in the extreme cases.

I bet most read the entire Wells Report. They don't want to admit it, because it opens them up for scrutiny. And, they all know stuff like this is going on in their locker rooms too. Maybe not this exact thing, and may not this particular year ... but if they coach long enough in the NFL, this isn't all that uncommon.

They would all rather have an Incognito than a Martin if faced with a choice.

They havent read it because they dont give a s***. The same crap stuff goes on in their lockerooms. It was a non issue from the start blown up by the media. Bullying a 300+ guy - gimme a freaking break!

They probably heard some of the things that were being said and think well I have worse than that. Whether it be as a coach or as a former player. The people that acted like they were saints frustrated me. Especially Schlereth who tried bashing Miami over and over like he was someone who stopped problems like that before. That is why we know Bill Romanowski as a quiet, soft spoken person right Mark? Yeah mean words were said but for some people to say those kind of things are not said in every locker room are crazy.

I suspect many of the coaches read some of the report, but didn't want to talk about it.

They're going to say that they haven't read it so that they don't get asked questions about what's inside of it.

Most everyone whose livelihoods are earned deep within the bowels of pro football's cloistered world understand that no matter onto which piles this manipulated report was shoveled it was still horse manure.

It will quiet down ... until the Jonathan Martin movie comes out in 2015 "It's My Party and I'll Cry If I Want To." starring The Rock. Ritchie Incognito will play himself, seeing that he will likely have free time to take up acting. I'm not sure if it's a comedy or chick flick.
