Wendell Bryant released by cards.

how much experience does he have ? i wont object to having a look at him but i also think we should look at bringing in a olineman or two.

He was a monster in college, I didnt really follow him after he got drafted..why was he such a bust?

Partially due to that crap organzation he was playing under. The other part is because he's flatout lazy.

I wouldn't mind bringing him in. But we need to focus on a few other positions, such as Cornerback or Center. Maybe even in Safety (even though we signed Lance). Still, Bryant isn't below a look or two.

Why not? He must have some talent to get drafted that high in the first place. It most likely won't cost much to get a good look at him, too.

Yes, because more then likely his salary will be minimum at 540,000, and under Saban, anything is possible. Also Saban was in college when he was drafted, and Saban doesn't let players act lazy. I would hope it would be a multy year deal though, if he did become something, one year deals suck.

I think we could get him for the minimum. i would also like to sign him for more than one year. something along the lines of three years.

Its an interesting option. hes talented but lazy as heck. Maybe saban can put a match under him

don't need anymore defensive linemen. Better find a corner though

If Denny Green couldn't do it I don't see why Saban would be able to.
Saban speaks defense. Denny doesnt even know there is a defensive side of the ball.

I like Denny as a HC but thats the truth; its why his teams never won in minny. He runs a tough camp but maybe he just cant relate to defensive players well?

I would like to bring him in for a look. he is still young and has the talent he just needs to start useing it since he is a DT and all of our DTs are getting old (except wright of course) i think it would be a good idea to take a look at him. any thoughts
I figured him or William Joseph would be let go this year. Bryant was a stud in college. Not sure what happened, however with Miami's need at DT I would not be surprised if they did not give him a look see.

Ted Washington was once labeled lazy & let go by the Niners then turned his career around. Maybe Bryant just needed a wake up call.

We'll see if Saban is interested. He should know enough about the guy already.
