.................it's disgusting to watch, really it is. I can almost barely stand the sight of much of our offense and the bonehead play by the defense in important 3rd down situations. We're not anywhere near the upper-echelon of teams, but man do the Fins make life harder on themselves.

Starting with Linehan. This man is the schizophrenic offensive coordinator and his coordinating is getting downright OFFENSIVE. He kills all chances of developing a rhythm with the offense. He's the only coordinator I know who'd GO AWAY from the Falcons biggest weakness - their run D. When he did get the running game going and the O-line was starting to push the Falcons around, he decides to whip out some ugly reverse play which leads to negative yards and then we're forced to abandoned the run. Does Scotty not understand that our O-line cannot sustain it's blocks long enough for these stupid reverse plays? Less we not forget 3rd and 2 and we've got that look in our eyes and he whips out a pass play. Let me think here, Gus has looked like crap all game and we're going to put one of the most important plays of the game in his hands? I'm seriously astounded.

.............Gus is killing this team as well. My God, he looks completely useless out there. I felt so bad for the offense. You could see the frustration on Chris Chambers face, Rex Hadnot's face. I would've condoned anyone of those guys walking over to Gus and chewing his pathetic behind out on national television. Gus makes playing badly look effortless. I never would've thought this offense would regress under Gus, but boy was I wrong.

............ Sam Madison is almost nearly as bad as Howard. Finneran ate him up, Brian frickin' Finneran. I haven't seen a carving like that since Thanksgiving at my aunt's house in '96. I never noticed how much of a liability Sam is in run support. He gets completely wiped out of plays, allowing power sweeps to the outside for big gains, like that last one Dunn ran to the left with over 2mins to go to end our hopes to get the ball back.

............ and what I still don't get is all this hype about Saban being able to instill discipline in a team. He's not proving that so far this year at all. We've actually gotten worse in that regard. It's beyond "they're still gelling." That has nothing to do with it. These guys are committing stupid penalties all over the field. Face masks, hitting guys out of bounds........... it's sickening how often these guys can't get off the field on 3rd down.

............ Well this was my rant, but this season is getting harder and harder to watch........... how much more time do we have to spend watching this franchise flounder with sunday coupon QB's? I think that's the thing I'm most disgusted with at this point.

What more can I say than I completley agree. This season has, so far, been utterly disgusting to watch (minus the Denver and Carolina games). I really hope they put Sage in next week because if not I am pretty willing to call this season a wash.

Honestly, it's beyond me how Saban could not put in Sage. 8 games is one helluva period to evaluate a player in Gus, who's a stop-gap 1 year player to begin with. This is what I hate about head coaches, they're so prideful they won't bench "their guy."

Same thing with Wanny and Jay. I dont want to start making those drastic of comparisons but if Saban STILL starts Gus this week, one would only have to think. I really hope Saban makes a move because, quite frankly, if he dosent we could be forseeing a top 10 pick next year.

It doesn't help that the division is so porous this year, giving this franchise false-hopes which is why I think Saban continues to stick with Gus Frerrflop.

LOL.
You don't really think our offense is worse this year than last do you?

And Madison actually had a pretty good game. He got beat a few times, but he also made some really good plays on the ball. I don't think 2 touchdowns in a game is a huge disappointment. Finneran didn't even have 100 yards receiving. Hard to believe that is the worst CB performance you have ever seen.

I think a total score of 17 isn't a horrible performance by the D.
10 points for the offense is.

Well then you have answered your own question as to why Frerotte would still be playing.

Huh? When did I say it was the worst performance in a CB I had ever seen? By the way, Finneran had 97 yards and a touchdown and was open virtually all game long, not to mention burying Sam with his run blocking. That's unacceptable from a former pro-bowler, especially when Finneran is Vick's only WR target.

We got lucky more points weren't scored. Did you see their total yardage? We were lucky to have forced two turnovers, one of which ended their drive within the redzone. Evidently, you read final scores and develop your read of the game from there.
