We're picking 4th next year......

Again I'll just repost my wishes from the other draft thread:

I'd like to see us make Ronnie even more comfortable and somehow grab Marcus McNeil, 6-9 352lb tackle out of Auburn.

The guy dominates unlike anyone I've ever seen on the o-line. Kiper already has him at #6 on his board (although he's got his weight listed a little high, he's never been over 355).

You can see him in the background of my sig, #73 (notice his guy is on the ground).

:D

Vince Young should be going in the first IMO

No he shouldn't. Just because he ran all over Michigan and a few lesser teams in the Big 12 does not mean he's that great.

People want to compare him to Mike Vick. Athletically sure, but Vick was, and still is, a better passer than Vince Young. For Young to be a 1st round player, he would need to switch to WR.

Vince Young needs to stay at UT 2 more years so he can develop into a reliable passer to compliment his outsanding playmaking ability as a runner. He's got the arm strength, he just needs to work on his decision making and accuracy. I think if he decides to stay another year he's a surefire top 10 pick. If he comes out next year, he still gets drafted in the first round but not nearly as high.

agree 100% Texas doesnt produce good qbs name me 1 that was decent not amazing just decent

He didn't run on OU baby!!!!! Not worth a first round pick to me. Maybe early 2nd round. Point blank the guy can't throw!!! He has had some good WR's at Texas and he still couldn't get the ball to them

Interesting mock. They're expecting a Phily/Indy Super Bowl it looks like. First of all, I don't think we'll be picking 4th next year, but if Omar Jacobs were to somehow fall into our hands, I would love to take him and I truly think he's going to be the best QB of the draft right along side Matt Leinhart. I find it hard to believe Cleveland would pass up on Leinhart considering Trent Dilfer isn't the long term answer, and I don't see Charlie Frye being sensational enough to make them feel he'll be their starting guy.

Cannon Arm? Contrary to some beliefs, Matt Leinart has very average arm strength.

Contrary to this belief, Leinart is known for his very poor arm strength. In fact it has been his knock his entire career. The guy's a *****. I heard some guy on the golf team put a beat down on Leinart 2 summer's ago. Arm strength is nill. Great surrounding cast is Leinarts only ticket to the NFL. His teammates made him, and the weak PAC-10 doesn't hurt either.

That means nothing. Think about these immortal names: Jeff Francis, Heath Shuler and Jeff Colquitt. The school was Tennessee, and the next QB who could claim that as his alma mater was Peyton Manning.

Conversely, look at recent products of Miami a.k.a. "QB U." Berlin, Walsh, Torretta. Not exactly marquee NFL names.

Bottom line: you can't dismiss a prospect at a position based on where he goes to school.

I think with one more year in school, Vince Young could be something special.

He had some good receivers? Tell me which reciever that played for UT last year that you considered 'good'. Look I agree Vince still needs to improve a lot in the passing game but last year Texas had a pathetic group of recievers.

The guy is a stud...and I think Ronnie woul be estatic if we were to somehow get him. (I'm hoping he mysteriously drops in the draft to the 2nd round..won't happen though)
