Just realized our 2016 schedule is almost the same as the 2008 schedule which was the last time we made the playoffs. could it be our year to return to the playoffs ? I thought we were going to go 10-6 before the draft and Tom Brady's suspension, now I think the division is ours lose. Remember Rex is a bad coach, the team will implode, Jets without a QB will crash. Fitz was a one year wonder. Like we did with the wildcat in 08, Gase will provide another form of offense. Miami's new offense is just to scary for any defense. No way you cover those for WRs and Drake or Gant out of the back field.

Interesting coincidence but I'm not gonna hold my breathe. If we can see some things in week one of pre season to get excited about I'll hop on the wagon though lol

We barely beat the redskins, got the crap kicked out of us in all but one divisional game, and got beat by Hasselback. The division isn't ours.

Does anyone remember how close a lot of 2008 games were? Its like we needed 1000 defensive stops.

Optimism is a funny thing. Geno Smith owns Miami and the Bills beat the Dolphins ass in 2015. It's going to be tough to even just go 3-3 vs. the division.

I said almost, didn't I ?

75% is really not almost.
I do understand that the only way to hope for a playoff berth is superstition or any kind of similarity in the past. But a schedule which is 1/4 off is not the way to go. You are setting yourself up for a big disappointment.

:hi5:

I don't see it as being that similar, in '08 we played an incredibly weak schedule, this schedule looks anything but weak right now.

We got the **** kicked out of us in the AFC East last season (only winning one game) so I am not too optimistic. Here's hoping Gase can at least get us to 3-3 in the division. I'd take that in a heart beat.

Lets hope for lots of improvement. But I wouldn't talk playoffs yet.We got a lot of work to do.

There's more of a chance of us going 6-10 instead of 10-6. Like the optimism but there's also realism. We have no corners, one safety, who knows with the linebackers, and no runningbacks and the OL needs to be vastly improved.
