I don't think you are being fair to Feeley on this. NO QB is going to have much success behind an OL like we had last year...not one. Add to that the terrible play calling on offense, the complete lack of running game, and a QB controversy, and you have a complete recipe for QB disaster. It wouldn't of mattered if we had Manning last year, we still would have sucked.
Last year, AJ showed substantial improvement over the course of his starts but also displayed some poor habits. It is well known that Feeley is a poor QB in practice, but he performs much better in games. I wonder how much of his poor decision making was a result of poor coaching and no time to make solid reads? I think he showed enough potential to deserve the starting job this year. He has a strong arm, and with better coaching and more weapons, he might just surprise some people. He won't set the league on fire, but he could be more servicable than Fiedler was.
Judging him after 2 practices is expected, but it's way too premature to say that we will suck.
