I don't think you are being fair to Feeley on this. NO QB is going to have much success behind an OL like we had last year...not one. Add to that the terrible play calling on offense, the complete lack of running game, and a QB controversy, and you have a complete recipe for QB disaster. It wouldn't of mattered if we had Manning last year, we still would have sucked.

Last year, AJ showed substantial improvement over the course of his starts but also displayed some poor habits. It is well known that Feeley is a poor QB in practice, but he performs much better in games. I wonder how much of his poor decision making was a result of poor coaching and no time to make solid reads? I think he showed enough potential to deserve the starting job this year. He has a strong arm, and with better coaching and more weapons, he might just surprise some people. He won't set the league on fire, but he could be more servicable than Fiedler was.

Judging him after 2 practices is expected, but it's way too premature to say that we will suck.

to answer your question about possible available QBs next season,
im gonna guess, without looking up their contracts to see if its fiscally feasible:

* trent dilfer maybe if charlie frye catches on
* tim rattay but who cares
* tommy maddox okay
* josh mccown or kurt warner (again)
* matt shaub - had a good preseason last year
* patrick ramsey
* either philip rivers or drew brees
* billy volek if tenn drafts QB
* aaron brooks if the saints suck this year and i think they will
* joey harrington if he gets usurped by jeff garcia who knows
* jake plummer if den uses their 2 high firsts to grab matt leinart next year

thats off the top of my head

Bro, slow down on the negativity! It's only one day of camp! These two qb's Gus, and AJ are learning on the job. They have never played for Nick before, Gus is learning about his new supporting cast, who have to get on the same page. As for AJ, he has to learn a new system, and a new offensive coordinator not to mention working with a new backfield of running backs, and Boston at wide receiver. Grab a beer, and take a deep breath, things will get a lot better! It's way to early to be so negative! Things will fall into place, and they will come around for us. :beerbang:

You have got to give Nick and his staff to work with these players in a new system. I am confident in Nick, and his coaches that this team will get off the ground, and motivated, and a spoiler for playoff bound teams!:xii:
