Could this be a tryout for a coaching gig? As much as I hated watching Wes as a Patriot...I'll still never forget that pass he caught for our only win for that miserable 1-15 season against the Ravens....or his returns during "The Night Courage Wore Orange" where we beat the Patriots on MNF. He was a Saban product...just like Gase.

I'd welcome him back with open arms if he could contribute to our WRs. A lot of these guys have his style of play.

EDIT: My mistake - Greg Camarillo caught that TD....but Welker was incredible that year and a highlight of the season...sorry but that was my point.

Kinda of shocked he would come to Miami in any capacity. The way he talked when he was with the Pats he never enjoyed his time in Miami. At least that is the impression I always got from him.

Greg Camarillo > Wes Welker

**** that runt. Greg was a try hard and saved us the embarrassment of going winless

Camarillo did have that awesome catch in overtime to stop us from going 0-16..........other than that he pretty much sucked......and Welker was a monster that we should have never gotten rid of.

Welker once said something to the effect of while a Dolphin he'd look across the sidelines while playing NE and wish he was playing for the Patriots. So consider me one of those happy he never got a Super Bowl ring despite record numbers and having two Hall of Fame QB's throw to him.

Never thought of that...lol. WOULD NEVER doubt it....not with Belicheat and seeing how loyal Welker is to Tom N Co.

I'm sure he's just talking to players about tightening up their route running in general or how to read defenses. I doubt if he's going to have too much access to the playbook.

Memory is a funny thing....but Welker was traded before that season began(2nd rounder-Samson Satele).....his last season was 2006 under Saban.

I always figured Saban tipped off Belicheat to go loot him from the morons running the Dolphins in 2007.

I wouldn't hire him, he would probably be on the sidelines wishing he was coaching another team

Right. And for this reason I will never like the little prick/

I don't blame him for leaving the team. If I was in his position, knowing that Cam Cameroon was going to be the coach, I would have bolted too.
But I do not trust him. He is probably spying for the Patriots. Unless he is signed as an assistant, get him out of there.

Obviously Welker was a supremely more talented player and cam was just a guy but still.

Camarillo > Welker

Dudes a bitch
