Nick Saban has to lock this guy up on a long term deal as soon as possible. Welker is a free agent at the end of the year and to me he will be gone in a flash. He can kick field goals, he can return kick-offs and punts. Hes a class WR and he can tackle......He is unreal.

Saban is building a team and im going to give him time but if he passes up on this guy im gonna be asking a few questions? Come on Saban, sign Wes up for years to come......then im getting his Jersey :D

Welker's under contract next year and a RFA in 2007. Welker has shown a lot at WR and returner, but won't get a long term contract this year and probably unlikely in 2006. This is the life of undrafted free agents.
 
he is an outstanding player!!!!!!! reminds me of the small wide reciever on the colts i forget his name. but man i think welkers ability to perform under pressure is amazing we definatley need to keep him!!!!!!!

Ya know...Wes is a nice player. An ok returner, certainly better than what we have had, but he's not the second coming. He's just a returner. He's had a few nice catches, but he's just not all that. There are only a few Daunte Halls out there, and Wes ain't him...
 
hopefully we resign him.He our second best player on offense other than ronnie.
 
I saw a guy wearing a nice orange Welker jersey.....do any of you know if they make the orange jerseys with the sewn-on numbers and names rather than the cheesey looking iron-on names and numbers? :confused:
 
Welker is one of the only bright spots on this team right now. Miami will give him a new contract next year. Miami has needed a kick returner for YEARS. Welker came on last year and provided that for them. He is doing it again this year AND now he is showing he can play 3rd WR. Saban won't let him go. I hope he returns one back for a TD against the Saints this week.

I agree that Saban won't let him go - Welker fits too well into saban's desire for versatile players.

Besides, he's just too fun to watch out there - I am on the edge of my seat everytime he gets the ball!:)

Man you don't want a team full of wes walkers talent. But you want a team full of players with wes walkers heart. Its' his heart that has allowed him to over achieve like he has. That's why Saban needs to sign him. To teach these other guys what it truely means to be one tough SOB...
