This thread is not directed at anyone in specific, but since Ricky's return there have been many threads regarding what Ricky has said in interviews. Maybe people are excited and positive about what he has said, but some people are confused and upset.

I would just like to point out during Ricky's "time away from football" he spent alot of time in Asia. As he has mentioned he spent alot of time "getting in touch with his spirituality". This is the way many (not trying to globalize) people in Asia spend their lives. The Eastern World does not measure success by accomplishments, but rather the gaining of knowledge and learning from mistakes. But they do not dwell on mistakes, it is looked at as just an action, and they accept that.

Ricky has returned to the Western World with these beliefs. To us it is very awkward, but to him, it is just who he is. Ricky is here to do the best he can, but his life does not revolve around his success on the field. He does not have goals to be the best, but he will play his best. I personally just hope his best, is the best. My point in this thread is, do not take what Ricky says into your own perception, try to think of it from a foreign aspect. What seems strange to us, is very normal to others.

Ok, you are not 15...............

eASTERN TO WESTERN IS A STRETCH!!! I just think he is finding himself! which I am scared of! Ricky I have a sleep plan that works call me!

EDIT; I really butchered Rick last season but if he plays hard I forgive! I do think he needs to show a charitable conribution!!!

It's called calling a spade a spade. Calling someone out for childish name calling does'nt amount to being a hypocrite. I'll demonstrate my point using extremes: If guy A shoots guy B because he was of an unwelcomed nationality/race/religion, is guy C a hypocrite for bringing guy A up on charges for flat out being wrong? NO..wrong is wrong anyway you cut it.

You completely treaded over my point and didn't understand anything I said in doing so. The hypocrisy comes in the element of opinion, not the bearing of right or wrong. There is nothing to say the initial comment made wasn't valid, so to excentuate your feeling of wrong-doing towards to poster is completely out of your grounds.

Thanks for the clarification Confuscius but you can't possibly know what is going on in Ricky's head.

I'm pretty sure he dosen't know from one day to the next. We'll just all have to hope for the best from Mr. Williams and see what happens next in the soap opera.

Have you been in a hole? The NFL agreed to having a 4 game suspention rather than a whole year because he agreed to join the NFL drug program early.

No actually YOU musta been in a hole. He retired BEFORE taking the test that would have gotten him suspended for a year. If he would have been let back in the league just b/c he agreed to come back a few weeks early to enter the drug program, every player that has ever been suspended would have went crazy, with reason. They really did all they could do, which was suspend him for what he had already been tested for. They considered trying to suspend him for the year, based on his admitted circumvention, of the rules but the players association stuck up for him and the NFL decided to let it go.

[/QUQuitting your job where you have the honor and responsibility of being the most important person in that organization, skipping town on your responsibilities as a Father to your many out-of-wedlock born children and removing the source of income that was supporting them, going on an egomaniacal media circus to focus attention on your actions and giving the symbolic finger to the people who care for you or depended upon you upholding your responsibilities as a co-worker and a recognized member of the community that opened their doors for you... all of these things make the average American take notice, and dissapprove of Ricky's actions. That might be, quite possibly the longest sentence I have ever read.
