I'm fine with having Flynn and Moore battle it out for the starting job. I personally think Moore was very good last year and with some coaching of offensive concepts by Joe Philbin, he can be great. Remember, Moore stepped into a tough situation and played well. When the right side of our offensive line caved in, that's when he had some trouble - totally not his fault. We need to shore up the Oline though. Go get Eric Winston, draft a guard in the second round (Coples in the first), two quality receivers (Jerius Wright & T.Y. Hilton) and a tight end (Ladarious Green?) in the third and fourth rounds respectively and you've got a nice situation going forward.

My two cents anyway.

I 100% agree with we must sign Winston. I see him as a key addition no matter who is behind center. Better run blocker but still good pass blocker. We must shore up the right side of the line, not just patch it.

The thing is, if we sign Flynn, the price will make him the default starter. They may talk the usual talk about there being an open competition, but that's all it will be. Flynn will start, regardless of his performance vs. Moore's.

Highest paid RT? No thanks there. But we do need him badly, I feel like it wouldn't be bad to have Mario's former teammate here, they probably know all of each other's tricks... But I do remember someone here saying he was pretty bad at pass blocking last year?

I agree with not at highest paid RT. I don't think he will get that offer because he is not as good at pass blocking. He is still best on the market right now.

If we sign Flynn, we will trade Moore. No way he becomes a backup again. Then we still draft a QB in the 4th or 5th, and sign a veteran as well.

Lol. Moore has almost no trade value and is under contract for 1.5million, and is one of the very best backup QBs in the NFL.

If you think we are trading Matt Moore, I don't know what to tell you. What is he going to do? Hold out and demand a trade?

I'm going to say we are pretty much out of the running on Winston too. Because he wants so much money it would be silly to pay LT and a RT top money for their positions. We had an edge but we simply don't have enough money. Plus he wants to play for a contender, which to be honest we really aren't at this point. Don't be discouraged though, this is a deep draft with RT's or just tackles in general. Hopefully we address that need on the 3rd round or trade down from the 1st to acquire another 2nd and address the RT with that extra 2nd round pick. We can only dream though, right?

He is way to expensive and on top of that he said he wants to win. He is going to be a raven.
