What about Butch Davis?

How come nobody has mentioned Butch Davis for head coach?
He did turn around a Miami Hurricane team that was in shambles and on probation and turned it into a contender. He probably left too early when he took the Cleveland Browns head coaching job, the Canes won the championship that year and went back the following year. Any coincidence that Larry Coker got worse when many of Butch's recruits left for the NFL?
In Cleveland I don't think he was given a fair shake because many of his top draft picks were injured and many more starters were out due to injury. I think the Browns gave up on him too soon just like they did with Bill Bellichick.

Some other guys worth talking to are Bill Cowher, Jimmy Johnson [if he still has an interest in coaching] Bob Stoops of Oklahoma and Urban Myer of Florida. :dolphins:

His NFL coaching stint was so forgettable, well...I forgot about him.

Cowher is out for a year unless we want to give the Steelers some draft picks.

I dunno, dude. Everybody is entitled to their opinion I guess, but DANG!!

NO!!! Leave Butch Davis out of this. He's too busy resurrecting the UNC Tarheels football program to have any interest in Miami or any other NFL job.

Leave Butch alone, please.

Butch is in NC...Hes done in the NFL for awhile and thats good because hes a college coach and thats that...Saban just learned this:sidelol:
