What about Jake Delhomme, is he available...?

But please explain, for gods sake, why we had Culpepper here, versus Drew Brees, when we avoided him during the draft and we then passed on him for Culpepper....?

How is this supporting your argument for Delhomme? Just because he's a veteran, doesn't mean he's a good veteran. Why not bring back Bob Grease? He's a veteran, maybe you can look up his career stats...

delhomme was good for a time. then he became battered and torn. he is old. i am starting to think matt moore was the best thing out there available that has upside and something to prove.
I'm starting to think Ireland and Sparano talked to Ross about going all in for a deep QB class next season. That's the only possible reason I can come up with as to why they didn't bring in real competition at quarterback.

prett sure ross doesnt want to tank the season

If Henne's better, then why doesn't his TD vs INT's show us that, or his QB rating....?
Because the entire offense sucked last season. Put any QB in enough bad situation and his stats are going to suffer. That doesn't excuse Henne for doing some dumb sh*t but he doesn't shoulder all of the blame.

I'm thinking the same thing.

This years QB class was weak and when Miami was up their wasn't much left. Next years class is looking a lot better. That being the case, they focused on rebuilding other parts of the team. This year they are going to ride out Henne with a new OC and scheme, see how it works out and if it doesn't they do whatever they have to do to get their guy next draft.

It's not tanking. I'm sure they want Henne to be the guy and they want to win games but if you look at the situation long-term, the next draft has better options.

Now, are they really that smart?

I really can't ever blame anyone for suggesting any QB over Henne. Would I want Jake? No, but I can still understand someone posting about it though. If we were to get Jake and he barley beat out Henne at least we would be getting to watch a different type of trash rather than the same ol trash. haha

OMG NO!!!!!! Delhomme is horrible.

I believe Earl Morrall is 77, Jake Delhomme is 36, that is a big age gap.

And yet Morrall might still be better.

Culpepper was great with the Vikings because he had Randy Moss, Chris Carter and that great runningback Robert Smith (played with 2 years I believe, before he abruptly retired).

Culpepper was a three-time Pro Bowl selection with the Vikings, Culpepper had a historic 2004 season in which he set a single-season record for most total yardage produced by a quarterback in NFL history (5,123). However, Culpepper suffered a serious knee injury the following season that ended his Vikings career, Culpepper also holds the sixth best single-season passer rating from his 2004 season (110.9).

Culpepper wants to start, not sure he would play back-up, but I'd take him back over what we have today.

Jake Delhome are you serious??? You must be a JETS, BILLS or PATRIOTS fan cuz Delhome sucks..I watched him play terrible the last to years along with every football fan in the country and we all know he blows...where have you been man?

Delhomme's got nothing left in the tank. Plain and simple.

Not only that, but he'd be reunited with Daboll, which worked out pretty poorly in Cleveland.
