I've seen a lot of things written about Parcells losing his edge as an evaluator and Sparano being to blame for things but what about Jeff Ireland? Isn't Ireland just as much to blame for bringing flops like Ernest Wilford and Gibril Wilson to Miami? Or for not getting us a gamebreaker at WR?

Irelands work is in progress. Don't forget Pat White at 44. The jury is out on a lot of his picks. Some he seems to be hitting on, but not at the rate we would expect. Patrick Turner comes to mind - do you not think he would have been a perfect matchup for the Ginn dropped pass in the endzone at the end of the game? Turner was inactive because he apparently has lost his confidence. Yes it is way too early to call it a bust, but there are rookie receivers playing in the league every year.

Ireland has to take some blame as well. He has brought in some guys who have not contributed much. But I do like his drafts. Merling, Langford, Smith, Davis, Hartline, and Long just to name a few. He does have some stinkers as well, but right now I have to say he has done a solid job. Could be better though.

I had hoped that Vontae Davis would've developed into the starter at CB but Sean Smith has been pretty good. Hopefully Davis and Smith are the future starters at the CB positions

Name a single CB that was a star in his rookie season, some we're good but majority take two three years to really hone in on their skills. Smith and Davis are definite keepers for a long time. L.Delmas would have been a great fit for this team but oh well, we have the players we have.

I'm concerned about Pat Turner. He started out training camp like he was going to be a steal and then he has fizzled out ever since. What happened to him?? Why did he start out so well and then flop??

He apparently "lost his confidence."

The good news is many of the grocery stores and malls in the Miami-Dade area have his picture up on the "for sale" message boards with detachable phone numbers to call in case anyone finds it.

White was a Parcells pick, not a Ireland pick.

Plenty of people close to Parcells said how enamored Parcells was with White for over a year before the draft.

Parcells even told friends that he was going to take Pat White with the first 2nd rounder, no matter who else was on the board.

Just recently... Revis, Flowers and DRC were all very good in their rookie seasons.

Well if that is true, then Parcells is dumber than I ever imagined.

Yes they we're good not stars, Revis is now a star, Flowers is still good and didn't DRC have a horrible year last year.

Flowers was dominant right from the start and was a candidate for DROY..

Revis was very good right from the start of his first season.

DRC didn't have a horrible year at all. He played exceptionally well and was a big reason why their defense played so well when they needed it to. Other teams didn't throw to him much because of his lockdown ability.

Ultimately the FA and drafting is on Parcells. He's the one that gets the lions share of the credit, and, needs the same of the blame. Ireland certainly gets a little of both. Sparano bears little credit/blame ratio for the drafting, but the lions share of it for the team's performance on the field.

A source from the team said he has been inconsistant in his route running, and that is why he has been inactive.
