Hey I have been doing some of my own scouting and I have been watching this kid play. I think he would satisfy everybody here he has the arm of Mcnabb, the build of Cullpepper, and the legs of Vick. Check out his stats so far:

Games Played 8 QB Rating 152.2 Att 278 Comp 170 PCT 61.2 YDS 2276 Y/A 8.2
Y/G 284.5 TD 23 INT 7 LONG 63 SACK 10 YDS L 0

The arm of McNabb, strength wise, okay.
The build of Culpepper, if he adds 40 pounds, literally.
The legs of Vick, are you out of your mind? Omar is mobile but just average in that department.

This season has surfaced a lot of holes in Jacobs game. He's gone from 1st on Kiper's junior QB list, now he's 6th behind Quinn, Young, Stanton, Vick, & Palmer, & I agree, though I'd slide Young down on the list.

i stopped reading at "the legs of vick." maybe when you're scouting him next time, watch with the TV turned "on"

You gotta be kidding me. Seach his name and you'll find some informed posts on him, what your saying is horrible.

he sucks. no bums.

proven college qbs that are good throwing the ball that played against good teams, like leinart and quinn.

You and I have gone talked about Jacobs in the past, and while other people are turning there head to him, i'm starting to adjust to see what he can do, and where he would be a valuable pick. I've said since last year I didn't think his mechanics were good, some people said it was the coaching others said it was the same way Marino was scrutinized, i'm not gonna bring up names but those were 2 people who probably post some of the smarter posts. My feeling on Jacobs has changed, he has ability, but it's a matter of how long teams are gonna be willing to wait, which has hurt his stock. If he stays in school next year he'll be a higher pick, but if he comes out learns under a team with a very strong veteran Qb, and i've brought this team up alot about a good team to learn under say the Titans, or even the Chiefs, I think he can be a decent pro, but if he goes to a Qb starved team like the Dolphins or the Cardinals where he'll be pressed into action soon, he's gonna fall on his face. Whoever plays good the previous week is the hot Qb commodity on this site, but alot of people write off someone for a bad performance or because their team struggles, but when a LT struggles or has a bad performance they're still a great prospect which is hypocritical IMO.

I don't think Jacobs is a can't miss prospect or a sure thing by any means. I'm as worried about how he can adjust to a pro offense as well as anyone. But what I do know if what he can do right, and I just like to make that clear because alot of posters here know nothing about him and pretend like they do. But given the right situation anything could happen.

hes terrible, hands down, bowling green, gimme a break

Ben Rothlesberger went to Miami of Ohio so him coming from Bowling Green doesnt mean he cant play. I dont think he is terrible, but the legs of Vick, please.

If you are only justifying him being bad by looking at his team you need to take a deeper look. Jacobs is an interesting prospect i'm not that high on him but the school he goes to has nothing to do about anything. I don't think i need to go through the list of successful qb's (or any other position) that comes from smaller or weak teams.

Speaking of MAC qb's.. i saw earlier this year Redhawks qb josh betts was projected to be drafted in the 3rd. Does anyone know if he will be drafted at all?? Or if he is worth taking a look at

The fact that he's from Bowling Green is immaterial. The fact that he has an ugly throwing motion, doesn't set his feet, has appalling mechanics, etc etc etc is a far bigger concern.
