They've said Ronnie reported to camp in great shape and he's excited about having a big role in the offense this year. They haven't done a whole lot with the backs in camp so far to talk about though.

I'm sure Ronnie's going to be good this year ... probably a breakout year. I bet he's working hard on the playbook and all sorts of things to make sure he doesn't make those mental mistakes that Cam is talking about a lot.

If he stays healthy, he ought to get 1,300+ yards rushing and 500+ more receiving no problem. He knows what Cam was able to do with LaDainian with the Chargers. He's talked to Trent about this offense and how he'll be getting more running plays and probably more pass plays as well.

If he proves himself, Lorenzo ought to feel pretty good also. I bet he gets worked into the rotation a good bit like Michael Turner does with the Chargers. Cam will probably stick with the things that he knows have a good chance of working ... and he got a lot of things working well last year with the Chargers. They racked up a helluva lot of points and total yards.

Well I remember once I worked out what Ronnie averaged last year based on the 12.5 games he played last year. If he had played 16 games he would have had 1279 yards which would not have been bad at all. Yes we ranked 22nd in rushing, why? Maybe because we weren't a team that was leading many games for long periods of time when a running game can really be effective.

ronnie is solid, too bad his line isnt, yet

Yup, the Oline is getting better, and new blood will help with this, but I agree, from a running game standpoint, Ronnie is not the problem.

Nothing wrong with Ronnie. Its all about Ginn, Booker and the new O-Line at the moment. Ronnie is dependable and he looks in great shape so to me RB will be fine.

Ronnie is a sledge hammer, he rarely goes down on initial contact and usually leans forward when he goes down. He will not juke everyone like Booker, but he will hurt you by the 4th quarter. If we use Booker to start the 4th quarter in games we might light it up on the ground. The defense will be tired, and he will be harder to catch.

Lorenzo might be a little faster but judging by what ive seen in ronnie i think he has great agility and can juke and run overr a whole lot of guys but lorenzo might be good but not better than ronnie.

Well one great thing about Ronnie is his strength/power...he carries defenders with him and head to head he can punish.

Between the last two seasons the one thing i have noticed about Ronnie is he's starting to learn how to set up his blocks. Take for example the game in Indy this year. He was moving accross the LOS being patient with the line and all of sudden boom hits the hole and is into the secondary. The one thing that bothered me is when he got to the open field he didn't try to run anyone over or make a cut. It was like he was content with just making into the open field.

Everyone wants Ronnie to be LT now that Cam is here running the San Diego offense...

Just the other night, I was watching NFL Network and the show was the 2003 NFL Season in Review or something. Showed Jamal Lewis ramrodding the league and piling up huge yardage numbers. To me, Ronnie is a Jamal Lewis type back and I think he could have a breakout year this year - maybe not Jamal Lewis numbers in Lewis's heyday, but 1300 yards is reachable.

ronnie brown got the memo from some of us and his coach.

i've gone on the record in saying ronnie brown has the talent to be a top five back in this league, inthe same breath he has not committed himself physically like a true professional would,,,,,until this year!YAHHHHHHHHH.

Read a joey porter interview where he was asked who is the hardest working player on the team,,,he replied ''Ronnie brown is tired of all the people talking about his weight and he's out to prove eveybody's wrong.

Well ronnie ,if we were'nt right in the first place then what is it that ypu have to prove.

anyways,i love kid, supremely talented football player who will wreak havoc on the nfl this year.

I don't think he's Jamal Lewis only because their running styles are alot different. Lewis runs in short choppy steps than burst through the hole sometimes running people over. I do think however that they both get better as the game goes and they get more carries. If he turns out to be like Jamal Lewis i would be pleased.

Ronnie hasn't been getting much love from the pre-season publications. Words I've seen describing Brown are: "over-rated" and "not a feature back". I hope Ronnie can shut these nay-sayers up and give the Dolphins over 1,400 yards rushing and 10+ touchdowns.:kick:

He was surprised to be there. It's been so long since he's been in the open field, he forgot what to do. :kick:
