I would like nothing better than see Zach and JT to get a ring, so this is what I purpose:

We trade Jason and #1 pick to Dallas. Dallas gives us their 2 #1's, a 3rd round pick, Marcus Spears, and Bobby Carpenter.

This would accomplish 2 things:

1. It probably put Dallas as the team to beat in the NFC and make them a prohibitive favorite for the SB.

2. It would further inject some talented youth on our squad. I think, for whatever reason, it just didn't click in Dallas for Spears and Carpenter. I don't know why it didn't workout for Spears, but I think Carpenter is playing out of position in a 3-4 and should be moved inside, JMHO.

Lastly, I never go by the chart that Jimmy came up with. I would rather use experience and wisdom to figure out what's equitable for both sides. So let the criticisms fly.
 
speculation is great and all but unless you have both Parcells' and Jerry Jones' ear, all this trade speculation is pointless. I mean i could speculate that we could trade for peyton manning, it aint never gonna happen.
 
so we get younger and they get older along with giving us picks? I'm sure Jerry Jones can't wait to make that move.

While I would never say Jones is stupid, I think his obsession with winning gets in the way of his long term appoarch when it comes to his football team. Just Look at what he did with Michael,Troy, and Emmitt. In the late 80's and early 90's he was willing to give them big contracts because they could deliver immediate gratification. He had to bring in BP to clean up the mess he had created. He wants DMac because he thinks he'll give them another weapon that will push them over the top and put them back in the SB. I feel he'll probably do whatever is necessary to make this happen.

No. I don't like it. They would be ripping us off.

Carpenter was having trouble getting on the special teams unit. And spears just flat out did not pan out.

JT himself is worth a 2nd rd pick.
 
If we trade JT, trade him seperately, not as a package. We should at least get a 2nd rounder for him. at the very minimum...unless someone wants to give us a 3rd, and two fifths or whatever... got to get picks picks picks, not spent player player player.

I think we already attained our Spears and Carpenter in Ferguson and sparks and Torbor and Anderson.

I think billy has moved on without Jerry already,if he was even there in the first place!
I think billy keeps mum about many things so all we can do is throw **** on the wall to see if anything sticks...then billy shoots it down...

I think we are keeping JT unless someone offers us draft picks worthy of a Jason Taylor, because I believe Billy wants to see JT kick some Buffalo, NE, and Jet butt with one Chris Long!
 
The Cowboys would be robbing us blind. Carpenter is a spare, Spears is only average, and the draft pick exchange sucks too.

The reason why most people ignore the "chart" is they want to make a trade that doesn't make any sense.
 
We'll see. It's so hard to get a taker on that #1 pick. Adam Shefter just said he thinks the Dolphins should give up additional picks just to GET OUT of the #1. I mean.... that's crazy, but that's how hard it is to get a trade partner for that spot. No one wants it because of the money aspect.
 
Why would anyone give us a 2nd rounder for JT, he's about a year away from retirement. We're not getting out of the 1st pick. Sure there are some great players in the draft, but 35 mil guaranteed? IS any player in the league worth that?

That makes sense,trade our best defender and the 1st pick in the draft down to the end of the first round and pick up an extra pick and two guys that didn't pan out-and miss out on one of the top 5 or 6 players in the draft. Are you form Dallas?

I never want to see either of these guys with another jersey on, and I dang sure don't want them getting a ring with another jersey on!

I love both these guys but if they win a Super Bowl I want it to be with the Dolphins!

I realize Zach's already gone and the NFL is a business.

So I say, let's give them the #1 for Zach and Romo!! :) Yes I'm kidding, sorry I didn't really help the conversation.
