Dont laugh! Yes I know Tim Couch washed out in Cleveland and a lot of quarterbacks much better would have done the same with the lack of talent surrounding them. It didnt help that Couch was beat up as well. But hey the guy is a gamer, looks to be healthy after shoulder and eye laser surgery and is refocused. Couch is about a month away from being able to try out and it wont hurt to bring him in for a tryout. He has better stuff than Feeley or Frerotte and at the least could be the Dolphins second or third string quarterback. There are a number of guarterbacks who get drafted high, dont get it done as they are forced into action and then later bounce back with solid careers. Couch sames to have learnt from his past and wants to play to win. He very well could be the Fins quarterback of the present and future if completely healthy and wont cost a lot to sign for a year or two. Plus he is only 27.

Saban will give him atleast a workout. You dont just ignore the former number one pick in the draft without atleast a look. I dont expect anything from him, but the coach will see what he has.

His arm wasnt sore the guy had a torn labrum amongst other things wrong with the shoulder. CLeveland's doctors didnt diagnose it and Green Bay's doctors said it was just a tired arm. However, it turned out he needed major surgery. The guy may not have won a lot of games, but he led Cleveland to the playoffs and we all must admit that Cleveland did not have a lot of talent on either side of the ball. Didnt have a good offensive line, lousy receivers and a non-existent running game. Yet Couch managed to win more games than Harrington and has shown, unlike Feeley, that he can lead a team to the playoffs. Dont get me wrong I dont think he is a world beater but if he is healthy again could be a great pick up.

why stop there, lets give ryan leaf and akii smith jobs too, give me a break couch was a bust

His career rating is 8 points higher than AJ's and he never got to play with the eagles either. Just to put it into a little bit of perspective.

i would take a healthy couch over a.j and gus. he really wasn't that bad and cleveland never had any talent around him.

He is nothing like Akili or Leaf they have ratings in the low 50's with much higher tourover rates couch has been on terrible browns teams and put up better numbers than AJ.
