He's out of a job in Washington to Brunell and Campbell is their future QB, so why not trade for Ramsey? If we can't do a Feeley for Ramsey swap, then how about somebody like Eddie Moore for Ramsey?

I ask because there's NO WAY Feeley is in the plans for this year and we all know he's out next year. He's basically a wasted roster space right now. Why not get a QB to develop rather than hold onto Feeley?

And if not Ramsey, what about Eddie Moore for Adrian McPherson? If not Eddie Moore, then who? We all know Saban wouldn't trade any draft picks if he didn't have to.

:feedback:

I just think we need to focus on the QB's we have now and then draft a QB next year (Leinart, Jacobs, Whitehurst, Young, Leak). Why take another veteran QB like Ramsey when we can start out fresh with a guy who can learn Linehan's system.

:yeahthat:

I just think Ramsey has some talent, and McPherson undoubtedly has some. Feeley's a waste of roster space right now and we have nothing behind Gus for the future. Why not toss someone like Eddie Moore away if he's not a prototypical LB in Saban's defense? He's better in a different system like Washington or New Orleans. And this way, we don't have to start new next year as either Ramsey or McPherson would have 14 games THIS year to learn the system and grow in Linehan's offense.

Just my 2 cents. :rofl3:

I guess if Ramsey really sucks, there's no point to getting him but I'm not sure he's been given a chance there. And McPherson is just WAY too much talent to pass up if we're able to trade something like Eddie Moore for him. Saints get an instant starter if they're willing - and for a 5th round draft pick who wasn't all that impressive in their pre-season.

If Linehan can make Culpepper a star, why not try making McPherson into one?

Hey, that's a great idea. Let's acquire another back-up quarterback.

I think most fans want the team to draft a Qb, rather than bring in someone whose already failed on another team. This does not have to do with McPherson, but rather Ramsey. I hated McPherson going into the draft, and I don't think he'll ever get an opportunity with the Saints unless Brooks gets hurt. Feeley is a pretty good 3rd string Qb I think, it could be worse, but I don't believe he'll be on the roster next season.

I agree that Feeley is a waste of space, but would Ramsey ever be our QB of the future? NOOO. Ramsey is a decent QB but he is not much of an improvement on Gus and he does not know Linehan's system. We should draft a QB and then he can gradually be worked in and eventually take over for Gus. I also think we are going to have to sure up our LB spot's with Seau and Zack getting older but we have made some nice younger additions like Crowder and Roth, although they may play at different positions in the future. I think we need to work on shoring up our D Backs....Howard got beat like a drum on Sunday. :(

Okay, just my view but!

Please don't compare Culpepper to McPherson. It's like a comparing a banana to a cocunut!

If McPherson wants to be a pro, I feel it will be at WR, not QB.

Ramsey reminds me to much of AJ, but with maybe more talent. He just may not have the head for it.

Thanks for the intelligent responses back, guys, not the flaming.

Even if Ramsey doesn't work out, what do we lose in Eddie Moore? Or Adrian McPherson for Moore? The fact is Feeley is a waste of roster space and why not take a chance on a young Ramsey or McPherson and hope to groom them? Even if neither one is better than a backup, what do we lose by dealing either Feeley or Moore or both for one of these guys? Absolutely nothing. Why not take that chance? We could still draft a QB next year. It's not like Feeley's doing us any good holding onto a clipboard until he's cut after this season.

Salary Cap and Cap hits. You just can't dump guys. It has to fit into the cap.
