Would you say he is "explosive" ?

The reason I ask is because Sunday I read a message board where someone specifically said Ronnie Brown wasn't "explosive" which I found ammusing since later that very day I read an article where that's exactly the adjetive Coach Nick Saban used when speaking about Brown.

While coach Nick Saban admits the team hasn't allowed Brown much opportunity to break open a big play, he isn't concerned about his ability to do just that during the regular season.

"We haven't been able to spin him out of there and let him make a big play running, and that's something that has to be an asset for us (during the season)," Saban said. "We need to continue to improve in that area so we make some explosive plays running the ball, because that's certainly something that he can do exceptionally well."

Since Brown is the "feature back" I think when Saban says "We need to continue to improve in that area so we make some explosive plays running the ball" he is talking about the offensive line and Ronnie Brown.

He was explosive on that 65 yard run vs the Chiefs, and the big run vs the Panthers

His athletic ability alone makes him explosive

Power and speed are his biggest assets...classic style. That's really the bottom line. Sometimes it takes 7 defenders to bring him down and he still takes them for a 5-10 yard ride. Other times he catches a ball, turns on the speed and two defenders find their angle on him completely disintegrate.

Power and speed. Bo Jackson. That's his model. He's not as fast as Bo but he's easily as powerful and while his speed may not be quite Bo speed (who does have Bo speed, really), he's faster than most all featured RBs in the NFL.

I said yes. But the best adjective would be "Relentless". He is a hard runner. Maybe an explosion here and there at times.

Here it is: "Relentless Ronnie".

It depends on the O-line, When in sync...wow He is gone. Thank god for Daunte because no D can put 8 on the line now, which will open the lanes for Downtown RonnieBrown :D

The first guy he hit in the Chiefs run can tell you better than any one...Or Champ Bailey maybe...

Or Jason Allen

/me assumes everyone has seen that clip since its been around here like 100000000 times

My favorite aspect of Ronnie's game is the fact that he knocks DB's out of the game. A handful of times last year Ronnie went head up with a DB and that player had to be helped off the field.
Does anyone else remember these moments?

I remember that when Saban drafted Ronnie he mentioned that when LSU played Auburn, there were more of his players needing treatment after having to tackle Ronnie Brown, than from any other player or team.

Explosive may be a good adjective, because he blows up players from the other team.
