(On the hardest part of trying to instill confidence in his players) – “I don’t know if it is just confidence, it is an overall mindset. It’s kind of a mindset of dominance. I am constantly telling guys on the field I know how you feel and they look at me funny and I say by how you look. You are showing the guy you are playing against that you’re tired or that you’re hurt or that you have the poor me’s today and that guy is going to take advantage of that and wear you out. That’s not what a relentless and dominating competitor does. It’s a mindset really and a mental toughness that you have to have to be able to preserver and sustain all the time and expect to do it and know that you can do it when the game is on the line. It’s a focus of playing the next play and dominating the next play and continuing to do that until the game is over. As competitors we usually don’t do that. As fans we usually don’t do that. There is going to be some circumstance, I know it will happen, we will make a bad play in the first quarter and everybody is going to boo. Does that help us win? No. Some player is going to make a bad play in the first quarter and he is going to get frustrated by it. Is that going to help him play better the next play? No. If he makes a good play and he can’t deal with it and concentrate and focus on the next play that is going to help us either so it goes both ways. So it’s really about developing a mindset of dominance and consistency on every play that you play and that’s really not natural. That doesn’t happen overnight.â€Â

Are you serious?? Is this man really that much of a leader ?? Wow, I feel like we hit the lottery!!. I would have paid him ten millions dollars a year if I had to. He will not only make our team better, but our entire orginazation better..
 
Yea I read that earlier and just smiled...I though if that's what's he putting in the minds of our players, we just won 2 more games than we're suppose to win.
 
Man what a coach! Very well spoken and addresses the topic very well. I understand completely just exactly what he is trying to do. I just hope they allow him into their minds and open them up. If they do that, this team could be very dangerous for many, many years.

Which, according to "experts", would make us 2-14. Those guys piss me off to no end, sorry to bring it up here but... :fire: I hate them.

Just remember that word "expert" is just a word to make that specific person sound official. Its a bogus word. Relax, take it easy...and let the "experts" choke on their own writing.
 
what amazes me, if he apprently just thought that up in the 10 seconds it took for the question to be asked...
