I doubt Ginn gets traded, but Beck I could easily see gone. IMO Ginn gets another year to do better catching passes in traffic.

There's been a lot of speculation that Satele might now be trade bait, but I think the guy who gets traded is "Mr. Less than 10 receptions in an entire season", AKA 'Mr LESS than irrelevent". :D

Moses and Anderson also would be my choices to dangle in the trade waters. Neither of those guys really amounted to much of anything last season.

yeah but of all of them ginn has value, who in the hell would want wilford, satele maybe, and hopefully someone is dumb enough to take beck

I was thinking the same thing about Ginn. I mean we limited his use on returns and there alot of solid receivers in this year's draft. Ginn is a good fast deep threat but I am not sure on him as an all around type of receiver(meaning the ability to make the shorter more physical type grabs in traffic). I wonder what his value would be?

Outside of Satele, we dont have many players worth anything more than a 6th round pick.

And we NEED the players that are worth more than that.

Some players that come to mind as trade bait (not that I am advocating trading them, just that I think we are deep in their area and they are performers) would be:

Patrick Cobbs - made some big plays last year and I'm sure he turned some heads. Probably has more value to us atm, but we also have ricky and ronnie so he doesnt get many touches.

Camarillo - solid slot receiver. Atm, Ginn is our #1 and cam/bess are 2 and 3. If we grab a solid WR in the draft that can fill a #2 spot, we will have too many slot receivers.

Bess - same as Camarillo but I think alot more upside. Same reasoning as Cam.

Martin - Great year last year, might be expendable with Fasano and Haynos coming around.

Jason Allen - only for the reason he is young and was a 1st round pick. He has good tape and bad tape. I'm not sure we could sucker anyone into overpaying for him, but it would be nice to get rid of this headache.

6th & 7th round pics have plenty of value.

Didn't we get Fergusen for a 6th last year?

I think the way that they traded that little skat back to the Eagles last year shows what they are probably inclined to try again this year. (for a 4th ).

They can't just cut Wilford, using him along with other pics or players to move up and down in the draft seems to me like the only way we can get anything of value for him...

I dont think anyone will trade for wilford with that contract he has.

If he is willing to renegotiate maybe, but he seems like he is content riding pine and collecting a big check :(

So you want to trade Ginn for a pick, I'm guessing that pick would be a 2nd and now we have to draft a WR. So I'm still confused on where this gets us ahead, now we have a new WR that could end up being garbage whereas Ginn has improved each year. If he got us a high 1st and we got Crabtree then I'd understand but we know that's not going to happen.
I thought you trade guys because the value in return is higher then what you lost. Having a bunch of players in a certain position so then you trade one to get a different position player makes sense not leaving yourself short.

dont think he will get traded [ginn i mean] no one would offer more than a 3rd round pic.
he is better off with us. give the man one more year.
and see how he gets on, hes getting beter year after year.

I would like to trade Camarillo he is not a number one receiver, Bess and Ginn are very similar to him and if we can get a 2nd or 3rd rounder for him I would trade him in a heart beat.
