And if she kept track of and added up all the makeup, all the requirements, even stuff like body tanning which the the NFL considers makeup, there's no doubt she would be way in the red.
I'm guessing you're not in an industry that places value on appearance, physical ability or a combination of the two. Otherwise you’d know that these things do not come cheap or easy and that it’s possible that some girls may need to supplement their income a bit to help keep up.
I think you're missing the point of the lawsuit, because once you subtract all the expenses of keeping the job, including some of the things you mentioned, it boils down to less than minimum wage, that's what their complaint is.
And no, I'm not in the industry, and I don't work with this girl or know her like you do, and ultimately I'm not too concerned with the outcome of this, but it's reasonable to assume that a young woman with no debt, no kids, no medical bills, no college loans to pay off and no drug habit, would not need to waitress part time to make ends meet at the end of the month, if she's working full time and making 50K a year or more, which is the median household income.
Am I wrong or are you both saying the same thing? That these girls don't make enough from cheerleading alone.
