Just saw that Jordy Nelson is out for the season, we've got some good young wideouts that could help other teams. Maybe somebodys willing to give up OL, LB in a trade

pretty high that Matt Hazel will be snatched up. maybe Preston

A starting linebacker or lineman For Matt Hazel?

Matthews seems like a prime candidate to me, if anyone. Doubt anyone gives up anything for Hazel.

ooo I didn't read lol. you are talking about a trade. I thought you meant are teams waiting for our guys to be cut. a trade wont happen

Any team's deep positions are popular on the waiver wire. I doubt we'd even be able to trade Matthews for anything more than a 7th rounder or scrub OL.

Panther's have spent time in camp with Matthews and on the playing field. He could start for them now and be a target for Cam. Put him with Benjamin next year and I would go to battle with both of them. Matthews has just as much upside as most draft picks and he is already NFL ready. He is not a 5th WR, At worst a decent 3rd and at best a good 2nd WR. Know reason that a desperate team looking for a WR would not give a decent O-lineman or at least a 3rd or 4th round pick.

Stills, Laundry, and Matthews are proven to be the top 3wr on this team as of now. Than means Jennings is a 4 and Parker a 5. There isn't going to be any playing time for either of those latter two because most formations Cameron will be on the field in a 3wr 1Te set. There flat out is not enough playing time for these 5wr and TE. It makes sense to move one of these and get something in value instead of having to make a decision of who to cut next year or playing time issues this year.

Top 3 is Parker jennings/Stills and Landry as soon as Parker is healthy... Matthews is no5 no matter how you slice it...

The Jets gave up a 5th rounder for Brandon Marshall. Do you really believe there is a team that is going to give us a 3rd or 4th rounder for a guy may or may not have upside?

Brandon Marshall only garnered a 5th round because of his baggage and potential meltdown status. A healthy and stable Brandon Marshall would have been at the worst a 2nd round pick. What I'm saying is desperate teams overpay this time of year. A team like the Panthers who know the division is theirs this year do not want their season going down the drain. We are not talking about Matthews to Dallas, NE, Philly or some other established team who does not have desperate need at WR and who is poised for a playoff run.

I have to disagree. I don't see any team trading a 3rd or 4th pick for a guy who has roughly 750 total yards in yards in three years and had a decent training camp. I think the most you are getting for Matthews is a 7th round pick.

Nobody is giving you a lot for a guy who has never been a starter and is out of contract at the end of the year

I blame fantasy football for threads like these.
