What are we doing?

I just hope he signs Chris Cash to be our dime back. That would make me comfortable. A G wouldn't hurt either but we have 9 lineman so we should be alright. Does anybody else think that McDougle should switch to RG at some point in his career.

I don't see what's boneheaded. This is what happens with most teams at this time of year. The guys who just barely made your roster get cut and replacements are brought in. If players are not buying into your system or not performing, why not replace them?

The moves we made so far IMO are boneheaded. Do any of yous think that Saban has something up his sleve wether it be a trade or some better pickups off the waiver wire?

BTW- Im stoked about Eckle, can you say beast?

You say the moves are boneheaded, but you are "stoked" about one of them..........

McDougle can't play guard. He's a stiff waist bender. Inside you need knee benders; guys who can fire off the ball, pull, trap and get low. McDougle is what he is, a one-dimensional marginal RT.

guys I beleive that nick is at least is trying, i cant say that dave did this much last year. anytime you are bringing in players its a good think because it shows that nick wants to improve.:flagwave:

Unfortunately I'd tend to agree.

From the beginning, my thinking was that the moves would be FINE if we added a CB with experience to work in the dime package. We have signed Thomas from the Jags (apparently- see thread), which makes me far more comfortable with the moves. Eckel and McGill were STOLEN from two division rivals who wanted both guys on their PS.

I wish you would clarify. What exactly are the 'bone-headed moves' that you see? Do you think all of them (with the exception of Eckle whom you like) are bone-headed. If so, me thinks you are off the wall. I haven't agreed with every move Saban has made, yet I'm guessing he knows more than I do so I'm chosing to trust him. I think he has left us pretty slim at CB. I'll bet he is looking for some help in that area. Other than that I love what he is doing. He is building depth and beginning to stock the team with young, hungry players.:D

Here's an idea, let the coach coach and stop questioning his every move.
