ALFONSO
Fin fan in Panama baby!

He wants more cash than we want to give him. We are waiting to get the O line coachs in to evaluate him based on what they need for their O Line. Patience is a virtue :)
The question really should be: who would we rather pay?
Carey or Hadnot, b/c Carey is a FA next year. Let me tell you he will get some serious interest on the open market. A guy who can play both RT and LT if need be and do the job will get attention. But will we be able to sign both and rebuild the team? I don't think so.....I'd rather save my money for Carey. We still have Shelton that can play G, which is the best place for him. In no way am I saying I like Shelton, but it might be worth it in the long run.
And here is the question, is Hadnot really that good? How much interest would he really receive?
Hadnot is 6-2 and 325 pounds. That is not a prototypical "Bill Parcells" guard, so it's unlikely that the Dolphins will overpay for him.
I like his intangibles, but he's simply an average NFL guard. I actually believe that Shelton was better at left guard in '06 than Hadnot was in '07.
I am confident "someone" will be willing to overpay Rex.. the only question really, is he "worth" that to us.. I don't know.. he is good pulling, but gets beat in his own spot... stay tuned...
I didn't know Carey would be a FA next year....he will definitely get some serious interest! I hope we keep him, he has been pretty solid for us..... I know what you guys mean about Shelton.... Hadnot will get a lil more money elsewhere from somebody, and he will be gone....he does seem like an average guardThe question really should be: who would we rather pay?

you say get rid of hadnot first because vc can play lt and rt?..last i checked hadnot can play lg or rg and c and probly fill in on the rt spot(not well but adequately). The question really should be: who would we rather pay?

i had totally forgot that carey would be a fa next yr but that is next yr.
even though we will be in the same possition just different possitions. regardless of wether or not we keep hadnot i would like to replace shelton. lewenski as well.
if we continue to pay for mediocre players we will continue to have issues. we have thrown money to almost every possition except o-line and untill we stop shopping at the martha stewart year end close out sale we will look like the partridge family.
