HC
Time will tell if the big names break free from teams. But Miami will be looking at a new HC and that should mean new OC and DC along with positional based coaches.

Offense Keep As Starters

QB: Tanny - Unless Miami has a shot at a Blue Chip QB in the upcoming draft they really don't have much of a choice. He has talent and can produce enough to help win games. He is not the type of QB to overcome a bad OL by extending plays. The playcalls this year is really hurting him on so many levels. We playaction more than we run he ball. We find ourselves backed up on most every drive it would seam with little yellow flags from our OL.

RB: Miller & Ajayi - He would be a star Top 10 RB on most teams with a good offense. He can catch the ball and take a run the distance. It takes more than 1 Good RB in this league and Miami may have two for the next couple of years, if Miller will resign with Miami. Ajayi and Miller is a great combo and they will help us get back to running the ball, if we keep Miller.

LT: Albert - When healthy he is a legit starter at LT. But the question is how many more years will Miami be able to rely on him? We may be forced to take a LT in the 1st round, if a playmaker does not standout. GM's normally will play it safe with a shot at a future starter at LT.

C: Pouncey - He does not seam to make good decisions and his overall mentality surely caps his true potential. But he is good enough to be a solid starter at Center in the NFL.

RT: James - He is not a homerun pick by any means. But he is good enough to hold down the position for the next few years. We can only hope he continues to get better and more confident.

WR: Landry - He is our safety net for our QB. He plays hard on every play and a true professional on gamedays. He will open up things for offense if we can get him into a scheme that is about moving the chains and not hitting 25 passes under 7 yards. He can be our big play guy on the short to mid routes. We do not need a system that has everyone running short of the sticks.

WR: Matthews - Thought for several years Miami was holding him back because they did not like that he was not a perfect team player. Guess what... most of the guys we watch on TV during Sunday games we would not allow in our circes. He is not a thug or bad person. He just did not get drafted high enough to allow him to be less than perfect for our recent coaching staff. He is talented and might be our best overall WR in terms of short, mid, deep, and blocking.

TE:
Cameron - This guy is talented and we do not use him correctly. His next team will make use of his big frame and big seam play ability. I hope Miami keeps him and I think he is a Top 5 talent in terms of TE in the NFL.

TE: Sims - He can block and make some nice catches. He may be why Miami will risk life without Cameron. I personally would like to see more formations with them both on the field. I think this tandem could be very good and cause big problems when setting up big shots on early downs. We could be under center with the two of them or a shotgun look with one of them taking coverage from a #1 or #2 CB. If they run a LB out in coverage it shows man and can be a mismatch for sure with Cameron on the outside and Sim running 5-7 yard routes.

All other players can be held until we find better placements. I just don't think they are good enough to hide without causing big flaws.

Defense Keep As Starters

DE: Wake - He is getting long in the tooth and that means we need to prepare for his replacement, if we keep him next year. He is still better than most guys when rushing the QB and could be used as a pass rusher if he does not recover from his injury enough to allow him to play most everydown.

DT: Suh - He is a beast and we need to build around him. It's that simple...

S: Jones - He is one of the best S's in the game today. He like any SS will not turn a below average secondary as a whole into a Top 10 defense. He needs at least a couple average CB's around him to help turn this secondary around.

Defense Keep If We Cannot Upgrade Right Away

DE: Vern - It will cost too much to do this based on his skill set. My thoughts would be to let him test free agency and if the market is not knocking down his door then try to get him back on a team friendly deal.

DT: Phillips - Young player and could become a good NFL player.

DE: Jordan - Yeah...yikes! If Miami had just a bit of talent then you move on from him. But Miami's DL or LB corp are less than stellar and we are paying for him either way. Might as well see if the new coach can get him ready to play next year as a possible starter. If he does not get IT, then move on.

CB:
Grimes - He is not going to be the guy to cover the #1 WR. But he could be a good nickel CB and part time outside CB. His age is catching up quickly and he has a big cap number for a guy that old on a team with crazy contracts. This should be a cut and resign or move on type move this offseason.

DE: Shelby - He will get his chance to earn a starting role based on a thin DL at this time. He is not a big play guy. But he is a good player that you want on your team. He can play the run well better than most of our current DE.

DE: Fede - Good depth player and Miami cannot let a young player get away that can produce in spurts.

LB: Jenkins is a good coverage LB compared to the rest of our guys. But we have the weakest LB corp in the NFL. He is good enough to challenge for a spot next year and chances are he will win as we are not going to pull in three new surefire LBs in one offseason.

LB: Misi will need to stay and should be moved to OLB or 2nd MLB in a 3-4. He is a solid player, but he is not going to make everyone around him better. But he is good enough to make more good plays than bad plays when competing with our current guys. I think Miami will stick with him for another year, but move him outside if we find a legit starter in Free Agency or a possible replacement in the draft.

...

Other than that Miami has a lot of guys that need to find new homes. It is going to take a few years to rebuild and find the players that will not just be new faces doing the same wrong things.

Major Needs ASAP:
CB - We have no future at the position as of right now. Should be filled with a 1st round pick, unless the Top 3 are gone.
MLB - Possible 1st round pick or 2nd round pick.
G - Need to find a vet that will not kill the cap. That will limit the talent level, but it will be far better than what we have now.
OLB - If Jordan does not come back as a DE or OLB and Misi / Jenkins return.
CB - If we keep Grimes this will help us bring along a 3rd to 5th round CB or Free Agent.
FS - Based on where we pick and the needs above this position... looks like a free agent stop gap is coming.
G - Gotta find a way to hit on a late round pick.
WR - Landry needs help even if we keep Matthews. We hope Parker emerges as a starter, but hard to tell now.
