No matter what we do in the Draft, it feels good knowing that when I wake up Monday morning, the Miami Dolphins will be a better team. I already know were not going to draft a guy in the first round along with his whole family, or one who will be a special teams player. Thank God for Parcells and company !

What are your most infamous draft memories ?

Ted Ginn,

I don't "hate" the pick. But at the time with Quinn on the board it made sense for the Dolphins to finally get their next big name marquee QB and not a WR who really isn't polished enough to be anything more than a weapon used in certain packages or a second receiver specializing in the deep ball. When the Dolphins picked Ginn i was on the phone with my friend and i literally SCREAMED.

Shula drafting Eric Kumerow and Rick Graf without having personally working out either player.

Jimmy Johnson selecting John Avery after he had already traded the #19th overall pick to Green Bay days BEFORE the draft.

I don't think i've ever been so upset with a Dolphins draft pick. I mean yeah obviously we've made many terrible picks over the years, but most of those were at positions we actually needed, and it's hard (for me anyway) to anticipate who is or who isn't a bad pick anyway until they play. How the Dolphins passed on Brady Quinn in that draft is absolutely mind boggling. From a PR stand point alone that was the right pick, let alone if he's actually good. Thankfully we seemed to have cured our QB woes.

In hindsight yeah i'm mad that they took Fletcher over many players who have become very good in this league. But at the time i didn't know Fletcher was going to be so bad, so i can't say i was really furious about the pick like i was with TGJ.

"We just drafted the entire Ginn family"

haha

Anybody else on youtube.com watching draft blunders and our draft picks over the past few years? It's really cool

There used to be a great one showing all of the Jets mishaps. I don't know if it's still up.

I missed the pre-draft trade-down in 98. I had been drooling all off-season hoping to get Randy Moss - I thought that would be the perfect thing to give Marino a boost along with the running game. When I turned on the TV, the #19 pick was up next, and I saw that Moss was still available...then I realized we had traded down. I was mad, but thought JJ was trying to move down and get OL help. When he picked Avery, I was thoroughly disgusted.
