I don't think Martin has/had an agenda. I think he mentally broke and his family is driving this now. He very well is probably as much a victim of that as anything.

No way...he doesn't save a voicemail and apparently voice mail(s) from half a year ago if he wasn't aware what he'd eventually do with them...that shows premeditation...charge him with first degree snakey behavior

I know where you are going Canes, but I'm not on either of their team. I think Martin should have tried to deal with Cog a different way than he did. If he really felt threatened by the guy he shouldn't have been spending so much off the field time with the guy.

As far as Cog, I don't care how man black guys on my team told me it's OK to use the n word, sorry wouldn't do it. Maybe it's generational, but I save that word for ppl I hate, not for ppl I work with every day.

Worth noting in all of this, that I think Steve Ross has handled this well. Immediately went to the NFL for an outside investigation and has pledged full organizational cooperation from top to bottom, and vowed changes if the investigation finds wrongdoing.

Assuming that this is not mere lip-service, bravo to Mr. Ross.

They are both rich and I know neither of them. With that being said I guess I'm with whomever is the victim in the end. I can't say I know who that is right now.

I'm team Miami and I hate how poorly the fins are handling this, hopefully this lights a fire under them and gets them to rally around one another and go on a 4-5 game winning streak

Not for either, but I am definitely more against Martin. He broke and walked out on his team in the middle of the season. As a white man, I don't condone using the "n" word. But to hear Tanny say they played the same lunch room prank on him many times and to hear Hartline say that he wouldn't comment on welcoming Martin back..........it's really hard to side with him.

Kinda sounds like the team is pissed he started this drama and didn't handle it like a man. It's hurt the whole team. The media drama and circus. The people picking apart the team leadership. Calling for our coaches head. Questioning our locker room

Total hor$e$hit!!! We are down a Pro-Bowler and a starting second round pick.

WE WILL PREVAIL AND WE WILL BE BETTER!!

Brian Hartline says he has resisted contacting Martin because he's afraid there is going to be a lawsuit and doesn't want to be subpoenaed.

Well, we know he's not on team Martin.

is there a team... i want to beat tampa bay?

Im on team dolphins. If i rationally look at the facts presented i lean more toward team ritchie. 2 eyewitness reports that martin was laughing and playing the vm in the locker room. If martin did not feel comfortable dealing with ritchis he had a number of options at his disposal. 1 he could inform his coaches of the situation. He chose not to do so. 2 he could have informed the leadership council of the situation. he declined to do so. 3 he could've informed his nflpa union rep. ( whose job it is to monitor his workplace) he chose not to do so., and 4 he could have informed his agent. You know the guy who gets 10% of his income for taking care of martins personal intrest. Once again he failed to do so.

This franchise never benefits when we pick up problems from other teams. I've seen it for over 40 years. The implosion date and particulars may vary slightly, but the end result is invariably negative. Team Incognito never should have happened here. That was my opinion at the time.

At least Team Martin was a home grown gamble. I didn't realize it was a gamble at the time, but let's assign it that way. Keep Incognito off this roster and I think it's a considerable favorite that everything is fine with Jonathan Martin, other than his basic lack of athletic ability and therefore upside as an NFL tackle.

Jonathan Martin has never had problems anywhere. Incognito has had them everywhere. Reading this board today is like the world in reverse.

Early in November, logic often is reversed in this country. Fortunately the recent trend is positive. Kudos to fear.

I can't sympathize with someone who runs away from their issues. I dunno how people and reporters are trying to validate him "walking away from it" like it's some kind of "noble self-release from the impure world of the NFL locker-room."
Playing in the NFL is a job with responsibility. The fact that he didn't tell any coaches or players about his issues shows that he was not taking responsibility On-the-job for himself and his well-being, which is well-needed for him to perform.

I mean, really, Martin has let us all down. Give me Martin the Dolphins Tackle who will try to get better on the field and air out his issues with his coaches and teammates, Over, Martin the Quitter that felt his issues with himself we're clearly more important than the team, but also Clearly NOT important enough to talk to his coaches about and get them addressed.

I am team incognito after a couple of payments of suspended games.

I am for Martin getting his head corrected. somehow. maybe talk to Ricky? stay away from your parents. They are not looking out for your best interest. Adam Shefter blows.

I am anti-hazing, bullying. ect ect. Its not needed. Martin didnt need toughening up. He needed to learn how use his feet and use a good punch. But then again, so did the entire OL.
