[h=4]We have talked about Jordan on and off here but, what about jamar Taylor, will he see the field, do we have a starter quality guy here healthy? Thomas blah he needs to show up or see ya, will Davis, saw field look like he can continue to grow...thought on jenkins and sims?

2013 Miami Dolphins Draft Class:[/h]1 (3) Dion Jordan, DE, Oregon
2 (54) Jamar Taylor, CB, Boise State
3 (77) Dallas Thomas, Tackle/Guard, Tennessee
3 (93) Will Davis, CB, Utah State
4 (104) Jelani Jenkins, LB, Florida
4 (106) Dion Sims, TE, Michigan State
5 (164) Mike Gillislee, RB, Florida
5 (166) Caleb Sturgis, K, Florida
7 (250) Don Jones, S, Arkansas State

Jordan, Davis and Taylor should all see more playing time.
Dion Sims didn't play as much with the emergence of Clay, I still think we should draft more of a seam TE.

If we are moving on from Miller then it makes sense to see what Gillislee can bring to the table(none of this matters w/o a good OL)

I cant see us going away from Miller completely until you give the guy a fair shot of running behind an actaul OL and not the pathetic excuse of an OL that Ireland put together.

I was having a good day till I saw those draft picks once again......I don't expect anything from any of them. That way if 1 or 2 of them actually does something it'll be a pleasant surprise. Thanks Ireland. Whereever you are laughing at how you messed up our team even worst that it already was.

Ozzy rules!!

dallas thomas and mike gillislee are not dolphins in 2014...will davis if he hasnt made serious strength and hand technique improvements may join em

Jordan becomes a rotational player and plays a lot. He gets 10 sacks.

Taylor plays regularly in the nickel package.

Sturgis gets more consistently.

Dallas Thomas is cut.

Jenkins sees the field in place of wheeler.

Will Davis see bit part duty.

I just want them to get the most out of Jordan. Limiting him to being a DE strictly is massively wasting his talent. Coaching staff needs to find ways to put him all over the field and let him play.

if you want to do that it likely requires a scheme change to a 34...he'd be an every down player as an olb in a 34 right now

Jordan: 60 tackles, 9 sacks.
Taylor: Starts opposite of Grimes; 2 INT's
Thomas: -_- CUT
Davis: slot corner
Jenkins: hopefully pushes Wheeler out. 70 tackles 3 INT's 3 sacks
Sims: #3 TE behind Clay and draft pick.
Gillislee: #3 RB behind draft pick/FA and Miller.
Sturgis: 28/33
Jones: ST

We had a lot of picks. Dang. Could have had Keenan Allen, Logan Ryan, David Bakhtiari, Marcus Lattimore, and Jordan Mills after Dion.

Jordan - Gets more playing time, but does very little, people will question the pick even more and start wondering about a position change
Taylor - Will get playing time due to injuries and will look average at best
Thomas - Would get cut, if we were not so thin on the OL, will stick as a backup
Will Davis - See very little of him
Jenkins - May replace Wheeler, gets more playing time in any case
Sims - More below-average production, but with better blocking
Gillislee - Probably cut
Sturgis - Stuck with him
Jones - Continues to be a special teams contributor

How do you expect to get those numbers from Jordan? Do you expect them to just bench Vernon? Or, do you somehow expect 9 sacks from a rotational player?

Our GM is really in a difficult situation. It might be prudent to think long term regarding this team, yet the fanbase is ready to mutiny and our owner might clean house if this year isn't a playoff season. Trying to go all out to make this particular season a playoff season could open the door to imprudent and costly long term moves that hamstring our near-future.

We were 8-8 last year, but even being 500 this year will require more talent. Once again, our schedule looks like murder. Our only chance of being any good is for last year's draft class to produce big-time results, as well as get at least one or two MAJOR contributions from a couple of our picks this May.

Would you risk a 2015 1st round pick to try and move up in this year's draft to get an impact player, especially a stud offensive lineman who has a good chance of being successful this season (and even that is such a crap-shoot). Probably not, as this is reported to be a very deep draft and there's a strong likelihood that Miami get a player at #19 who could at least be a solid player for the 2014 team and maybe a great player in following years.

It seems amazing to me that Miami can supposedly be so bereft of talent, yet be 8-8 and expected to have been a playoff team last year.

Which is not necessarily a good thing.

Gilleslee is terrible. If we move on from Miller to Gilleslee our run game will be worse than it was this year even with an improved OL.

My realistic expectation for the 13 guys is that this franchise wakes up and sees what colossal busts Jordan, Davis,Taylor and Thomas actually are and wastes no more time on them.

That draft will go down as one of the worst In NFL, LET ALONE, Dolphins history.

Sims and Sturgis are the only two real players from that draft. I hope Gillislee gets it going.
