I will give it a start. I think the offense needs to run the ball, and give Ronnie breathers, and see what Suggs can do in there. Need to switch up the protection and at times keep the tight end in, and other times keep the running back in, to help the Oline, and help build there confidence as well. The offense needs to build the unity up, and stay out the field a lot longer other wise our older defensive players will never make it through the season.

The D-line needs to keep an influx of youth by giving Roth, Vickerson, Evans more playing time now so they can spell the veterans and get more game time under there belts, so they start playing better no matter what rotation is in there.

Secondary needs to work together better, study more film, and after hours work together on there play calling. Need to really build confidence here, and they need to know that when the play calls for help over the top, it will be there.

Last week was very hard for me to watch as well, but I want to start looking at what we can do better as a team of fans, rather the saying our team sucks, but ideas or suggestions that we think we can help. Proud Dolphin fan from 1970, and still not going anywhere.

The o-line can't pass block, let alone run block.
The o-line HAS to be more physical and agressive in order to open holes and pass protect.

Mularkey has stunk it up as a OC big time. Times like these i wish we still have Scott Linehan. Even Norv Turner's offense is looking good right now. About fixing the problems of the team the O-line needs to be more physical and we need to run the ball more. This will limit Dante's mistakes.

Very nice post FinFanInCali!

I agree very much so on most of these points we need this optimism!

Thanks bro! We have problems that need to be addressed, but it's not the end of the world, and when things are down, we must rise up, and stick by our team. If we don't who will. I think they are working hard at correcting the problems. We must keep the faith, and address the problems with possible solutions, rather then throwing in the towel for the season already!:ffic:

Alot of the problem is Miami has too many nice pretty boys ( I mean we have our outside linebacker dressed up as a woman in parties for goodness sakes) .. Why the heck is Jason Taylor always helping the opposing player up then smiling and joking with them ? Lawrence Taylor never did that . Same with a few others on Miami's defense..

My God , when you go against Baltimore's defense, they want to beat you to the ground head first and step on you afterwards, they take no prisoners .. I am glad they are not on our schedule.

Miami is missing alot of attitude .. There is no swagger with Miami, just a bunch of guys looking to collect their inflated paychecks every week.

As much as some here may hate Joey Porter, this is the exact kind of guy we need on a few positions on offense and defense.. Some guys who are leaders and dont take crap from anyone . The only guy we have like that is our #3 receiver and return man.

Where is Houck in all this?

Last year when the line was having problems - he went to a base scheme and it all worked out fine.

This season - we are getting the snot blitzed out of us (Pitt blitzed nearly every down) because they know our OL is slow and CPep is not mobile.

They need to go back to basics. Same for the defense. Poor excuse saying the D is too complex and they keep blowing calls. Dumb it down a little and let them react rather than think and eliminate the mental errors.

In short - make the game simpler. Right now, the game is moving faster than the Dolphin players are.

A wise man once said - "you can't make chicken salad out of chicken ****"

The coaching staff is going to have to dumb it down ALot , because we have a very dumb QB and a bunch of misfits up front.

I just re-watched the game. The biggest weakness was on the left-side of the offensive line. Before re-watching the game, I thought Shelton was the problem. Although he had a bad game...

Jeno James is clearly injured. Although Lean and Mean and in great shape, his arm strength looked similar to Olindo Mare. He is clearly the weak link. If he gets his shoulder in... he can block a guy... and get pushed back. Without perfect position, every arm-block was a whiff(as futile as watching Dan Marino try to push Dan Wilkinson).

This is not the same guy from 2 years ago. Over an injured player like James, I'd rather take Kevin Donnelly out of retirement. But more seriously, McIntosh or somebody else on the roster has to replace this guy who is more injured than Bennie Anderson (with a torn triceps).

Were you not here last year?? We all just about wanted Linehan OUT of the equation going into week 7 or 8.

Exactly. With the exception of a few players, there is no one who plays with heart & passion consistently.

I was watch highlights of the Jets rally that fell short against and the Pats. It does not matter who plays for the Jets or who their coach is, they come to play for 60 minutes filled w/ intensity and passion.

It gauls me to put this in writing, but, here goes.

If,over the course of the last 7 years (or so), Miami played w/ a fraction of what the Jets do week in & week out then there is no limit to what the 'phins might have accomplished.

Get Ronnie to the edges more. They seem to like to pound him up the middle. Thats fine, but he has the speed to get outside, can anyone say pitchouts and screens, this will open up the middle.

We have to give it to ronnie, we need to slow down the defence before we pass......... we need to at least have 25-30 runs or mroe
